Suburban Amateurs is an incredibly simple site (check out their logo even) focused on younger amateurs from the UK. They promise quite a lot in their tour, such as 10,000's of exclusive amateur pics, hundreds of downloadable videos, daily updates, and more. That's quite a bit to live up to, which I'm kinda interested to see if the can do. Everything out here sounds good, so I'm gonna take a look inside and see what they're up to.
These guys don't mess around, right when you login you're already looking at a thumbnail of each of the models they have. Currently there are just over 50 of them, and they promise to add a new one each week which is great. Unfortunately there's not much more to talk about, as I said earlier everything is kept pretty simple. They provide links to past update pages (which only go back to July, 2003, hmmm...), their videos section, as well as links to other sites of theirs you get access to.
Most of the girls up right now have anywhere from 3-5 photosets of them up, which is ok. They've got some cute chicks, and I definitely wouldn't mind seeing more of them. The first photoshoot usually consists of the girls wearing a Suburban Amateurs tanktop, I guess to let us know it's exclusive to their site. The other sets may or not may not be exclusive, I'm not too sure. I know for sure I've seen some of these girls around before on other sites, but not these specific sets necessarily.
The pictures themselves are actually very nice looking. All of the ones I checked out were 1024x768 which is a perfect size if you're not going to offer multiples. They have the pro-am thing down pretty well, as the pictures are not too glossed-up, but definitely look like the photographers know what they're doing. Except for a few minor lighting issues (funny reflections or shadows, etc), the photoshoots are set up well and deliver some nice looking content.
They only show 20 thumbs per page, and that can lead to a lot of pages for each gallery. Thankfully they do provide a good link setup so you can jump around within the gallery with ease. There are no zip files, which is a shame, but otherwise the galleries look pretty good. Nothing really stands out, but nothing's really wrong either. They're plain and simple for sure.
Unfortunately a big problem came when I went to the videos section. I thought their tour said they had hundreds of full-length UK amateur videos (and checking again, yes it does say that). Either I'm looking in the wrong place, or they just don't have 'em. In the 'exclusive videos' section I found about 6 videos available right now. You've got to download them in zip format before you can play them, which is a pain when most of them are huge (I'd say 50 megs is average), and the server is a little slow downloading for me right now as I'm getting about 10 megs every minute. Once downloaded and opened up, they look fine. The video is in Windows Media format, encoded around 500kbps. For a while I couldn't tell if there was no audio, but it ended up that the clips I watched were just pretty quiet for the most part (nothing audible was really happening). They would be fine for the most part, except that there's just so few of them.
The biggest plus is all the sites you get access to. There's some Viv Thomas photos and videos, as well as some other sites by these guys. This expands the content base to include hardcore, as well as more softcore stuff by different photographers. Perhaps buried somewhere in there is the DVD videos they promised, but I didn't browse around for a real long time.

Well, it's good to see a few of the problems gone just because they've been updating regularly here. There's a lot more photos, and a ton more videos as well (especially compared to the six they had before). Otherwise, much is the same around here. The content still looks pretty good and is enjoyable.
The price is a little high at $30 a month if you ask me since there's a lot of good bargains out there these days. At least for the price you get daily photo updates, and a new video each week. I'd love to see a nicer design in place since this one is plain, but that's about my last complaint. The exclusive content is nice to have, as is the extras they give (which helps round out their content choices a lot).

Things are looking pretty nice around Suburban Amateurs I'd say! I'm almost tempted to suggest a full new review here for this one soon. It looks like they had a redesign, and made browsing quite a bit easier. They break content down by model, date, exclusivity, etc. which makes finding things a lot easier. Picture galleries are pretty similar to what I remember before and are still pretty nice. Updates come daily (except when a video is put up), which has kept the site growing quite a bit it seems.
Thankfully the video section is quite a bit bigger now than when we first saw it. They put up a new video once a week, and have a pretty good archive of them now. Specs are awesome, in the 720x480 and 1000kbps range. Unfortunately the quality wasn't quite what I was expecting from those numbers, but they look alright nontheless.
With the growth, new features, and a lot more videos, I think this is shaping up into a pretty nice site. The price is high still, but they're growing into that which definitely helps. I like the content, the site is much better, and you're getting a lot of updates. They're definitely going in the right direction, as will my score for the site :)

They just keep on growing here, and I'm not talking about the girls dumbass. The site is larger than ever, and I really like how much content you get of each girl (compared to some sites that just give you one set or whatever). There are more videos than before (in proportion) and they look better too while keeping up with today's standards nicely. I guess the few things I wouldn't mind seeing more of are options (video options, browse options, etc.). Otherwise, still a great site here and even more worthy of your money!
