Strictly broadband is a pay per view movie site featuring thousands of DVD titles from some very well known studios like Adam & Eve, Vivid, Playboy, Penthouse, Zero Tolerance, and many others. Obviously nothing here is exclusive, and there's no date stamps or clear update schedule to tell how often new titles are added, but I'd imagine the expensive ticket system and the already enormous archive of content is enough to keep you from wishing for more. This is a British site, which makes purchasing films even more expensive for us silly Americans, but your options can range from 7 days worth of viewing for 1 ticket (7.99 pounds) or 1 full year worth of viewing for 2 tickets. Multi-ticket purchasing does save some cash, so if you're interested look into the 19.47 pounds for 3 tickets or 49.95 pounds for 10.
The Good:
- A large amount of adult DVD content covering a variety of different categories and fetishes. Each title is listed with its box cover image, scene screen caps, scene description and a link to titles from related categories. They don't offer any gay content here, however, but you can check out their sister site Strictly Gay Movies for those. A large amount of the titles here come from fetish content, amateur porn, cumshots, and anal sex.
- Titles can be browsed by actress, studio, category, or keyword. They then can be sorted in alphabetical order, most popular or date. This isn't the most advanced site for video browsing, but at least they do offer a few options.
- Video quality looks really good, I was impressed! There aren't very many viewing options, but the picture quality is very nice.
The Bad:
- Pay Per View set-up means things will get expensive here, and fast! Especially if you like to downloads lots of titles and are not used to paying for things in British pounds. All DVD's are 1 ticket (for all scenes), and the gives you the opportunity to watch for up to 7 days. 2 tickets gives you access to the DVD for a year, which seems like a better deal, but equates to almost $32 American bucks (currently) per title and that's just too much.
- No date stamps or clear update schedule. It's hard to tell how often new titles are added, if at all even, although new content does appear to be added so I don't think it's at a standstill.
- No advanced browse features or different quality options for viewing the videos. It all feels very restrictive here and I didn't like how you are only able to browse 10 DVD titles per page.
The Conclusion:
PPV sites are good for those of you looking for something specific and only that, as generally the pricing can be very expensive. Strictly Broadband is a prime example of how quickly one can spend their money on porno if they're not careful. While I enjoyed the picture quality of the videos, I wasn't wowed by the design set-up or browse options. The amount of DVD titles seems large enough, but lack of date stamps and clear update schedules is alarming. In the end I'd probably hold on to my money for a less expensive Adult DVD site because these days there are quite a few good ones out there that won't break the bank so quickly.
