Straight Wankers is up for review today, and that tells us a couple of things. First, it's a male site of course, and second, I think the boys are British here. I was pretty surprised to see some hardcore gay action in the tour, since I thought it would be more of a solo masturbation site. However, the idea here is that once the guys are jacking off, they can't help themselves to start fucking a dude I guess. I don't feel that the name matches the theme very well here, but oh well. Membership is $30 a month, which is a bit high for me overall.
The goods:
- Exclusive gay content. Of course, the content is the reason to join here. It's all exclusive, and it's a little niche material I guess with the gay British theme.
- Bonus network access included. Since the site is smaller, any bonus access is a good thing here. You get access to some other gay videos with your membership, though that isn't a huge number of videos either.
The bads:
- Pretty small site. With under 20 video scenes and no recent updates, there's not a ton to see here unfortunately. There are about 20 photo galleries as well, but overall you breeze through the content rather quickly.
- No recent updates. The last updates were a couple months ago in October, 2007. I'm not sure if they are done for good or what, but it doesn't look good.
- Video quality is just okay. It's not awful, but it's definitely not up to par with what we usually see these days either. A bump in video quality would definitely help, though I don't expect much from them at this point.
- Theme doesn't quite fit for me. As I mentioned in the intro, I was thinking this was going to be a solo, straight male site. To have all the scenes offer up two dudes in hardcore action was a bit of a surprise, and not in a good way really.
Conclusion:
Without updates and growth, I can't really recommend Straight Wankers much. Even what they have up is just okay at best, and for the price, I think you can find better stuff out there. It's not bad really, but more could definitely be done with the site. If it sits as-is forever, I can't imagine joining for more than a month as there'll be nothing new. Hopefully they can pick things back up and bump the quality up, but as I said before, I'm not real hopeful.
