Straight Wankers is a gay niche site that further focuses in on the straight guy theme. This seems to be a pretty popular sub-category in the gay category and these guys touch on it with both solo guy performances along with guy/guy hardcore. The guest tour is a collage of many of the models with in-browser previews in the background and these are an accurate portrayal of the models and types of shoots in the member's area.
The Goods:
- Original Solo & Hardcore Pic/Vid Shoots. The collection is well-balanced with about an equal number of photo galleries and videos. The majority of the action is solo guy but there is a decent number of guy/guy hardcore accompanying the individual action. Exclusivity is the main selling point along with the fact that this is a UK based company so the performers are British which brings another area of interest into the equation.
- High Quality Pics, A Few Video Formats. The picture quality is solid with crisp clear photos that qualify as high-res by TBP's content standards. The quality on the videos is solid as well and I like the fact that full-movie files are available in WMV, QT, and Flash formats. There are streaming options of each of the formats as well.
- Bonus Sites Plus 'All Network' Pic/Vid Pages. Company bonus sites are included which have similar style European content collections with various niches. The navigation header also includes convenient 'All Network Photos' and 'All Network Videos' which allow members to quickly see all the available content.
The Bads:
- Updates Seem To Have Stopped. Straight Wankers very clearly posts the update date-added details for each content item. At the time of this review its easy to see that the additions stopped a few months ago. Up until that time they seemed to be updating at a steady rate and then they stopped cold. That is clearly a worrisome trend that takes away from the value of what's available and what the site will be in the future.
- Small Sized Collection of Content. The goes hand-in-hand with my previous point about the updates. The picture galleries and videos date back to mid-2008 so they built up the collection for about six months and then stopped. The biggest thing they need to do to improve the value is get more stuff online for members. Even though it's an original content based site they still need to provides some measure on quantity.
Conclusion:
Straight Wankers is fairly easy to sum up. The notable characteristics include the original 'straight guy' content, Euro performers, and nice pic/vid quality. The shortcomings are clearly the sheer lack of overall quantity which stems directly from the updates issue. Network bonus site access helps offset this a little but they need to get on the ball again and get new stuff online in order to increase the value of the site.
