Stop the Camera is part of The Hardcore Network which is something TBP has looked at in the past. It's a unique mix of specialty theme sites, solo girl performers, and more general niche sites. Stop the Camera falls into the specialty theme site realm as it’s a collection of behind-the-scenes and blooper content. The guest tour here will give you a good sample of what kind of stuff you can expect in the member's area.
The Goods:
- Behind-the-Scenes, Interview, Chatting Vids. What Stop the Camera has to offer is a bit off the beaten path in that the collection is totally dedicated to behind-the-scenes style videos. Usually this type of stuff is found in small bonus sections on some reality or video site so the fact there are hundreds of videos here is pretty unique. The movies have lots of girls chatting to the cameras, getting instructions, waiting for shoots, after shoots, bloopers during shoots, etc. There are lots of familiar faces from
- Nice Video Quality, Full-Movie Files. The videos are offered in WMV format and the quality is pretty good. No doubt the stuff comes from a variety of sources so there is some variation depending on the shoot. There are three levels of full-scene WMV for each movie: Best, Good, and Fast Download. It's straightforward and overall better than I generally expect for behind-the-scenes type material.
- Network Access, Creative Mix of Sites. Definitely one of the key components to Stop the Camera is that it's part of a larger network. When logging in to the member's area you're initially directed to The Hardcore Network hub page and from there you can click over to Stop the Camera.
The Bads:
- Mixed Bag of Stuff, New & Older Material. With the number of videos well into the hundreds it isn't surprising that the entertainment value of the action ebbs and flows throughout the collection. Some of the stuff is fun, newer, and interesting while there are other shoots that are pretty dull. The length of the vids is something to note too as they're short little clips at a minute or two on average.
- Basic Navigation, Little Organization. Navigation is not one of Stop the Camera's strengths. Basically hey just list the content chronologically with a handful of shoots on each page so there are a ton of pages to scroll through. There isn't any way to filter or find the shoots by categories like interview, action shoots, etc. The design and categorization is really rough-around-the-edges.
- Little Update Info or Shoot Details. The update info is confined to a short list on the member's home page of the three most recent additions. The individual movie listings themselves only have a one line description and model names. They don't have source/movie info, date-added details, or video file size specs.
Conclusion:
Stop the Camera does well in offering a sizable collection of behind-the-scenes porn videos. You don't see this stuff all that often and especially not this much of it in one place. The fact that they stay focused on videos is a key point to since often times you'll see behind-the-scenes picture galleries on other sties. The one area that would make the site more user-friendly would be some sort of categorization since there is all sorts of different content throughout the collection.
