(recurring)Spy Tanning is up for review today, and they offer a very different site from what we're used to seeing. They have no actual content here, as far as pictures and videos, but do provide live camera feeds to check out. To keep it unique, the cameras operate solely in a tanning booth salon. There are six rooms, and each room has three cameras (head, foot, and whole-room). There are also two public area views. I think this one will be real hit or miss with people depending on if they like the idea. The price is right at just $15 a month, as there aren't any real extras or anything here either.
Pretty unique site setup.
The idea is decent at least, and is different from most everything you'll see out there. There are six live cam rooms with a total of 20 live cams or so. They seem pretty legitimate, in that everything lines up pretty well (when a girl leaves a tanning room, you see her leave the lobby, etc.).
Several cams per room.
It's nice that they put several cams in each room. There's one on each end of the tanning bed, and one in a corner of the room so you can watch them change. Plus, they all seem to link up well - when a girl gets out of the bed, you can see her right away on the other cam starting to change.
No actual content to view or download (no archives).
If there's no one on their cams currently, you're out of luck. I'm not sure where this place is located, but they have to close sometime. Maybe they put up old feeds when that happens? Either way, I'd love to see an archive of old cam videos if possible to have something around to check out on demand.
Preview cam isn't correct at all.
When you're browsing the cam rooms for something to watch, they have a little preview cam from each room available. However, I have no idea where this video is pulled from. It has nothing to do with what's currently going on in that room from what I could tell.
A very basic site that may fill a niche, but will be a tough sell.
Spy Tanning is operating under a very unique niche that probably won't appeal to a lot of people. The whole live cam thing is usually seen as an extra/bonus for an actual paysite with its own collection of content. If you really like the idea, I suppose it can be worth a look since it's not too expensive. However, I'd really love to see some extra features here. First, why not have the preview cam video actually link up with one of the cams? It seems it's random video that has nothing to do with what's currently going on when choosing a room. Second, maybe bump the quality up a little higher. Last, maybe provide an archive of sorts, even if it's member-driven, so you have some actual content to check out. As it is, if no one is in the tanning beds when you want to get frisky, you're out of luck.
