Well now that's a cute young girl on the main page of the tour. And enticing enough is the fact that she's in shackles! ShackledMaidens.com promises "pictures of beautiful girls in heavy restraints" - now who wouldn't want to see some of that?! From the tour I get the impression that this is somewhat of an amateur site, although you wouldn't know it by the super-great quality content that is offered here. $19.95 per month gives you access to over 5,250+ images and 7+ short videos as well as access to their Yahoo! community and message board.
The Good:
- Super high quality content never hurts. Images are as large as 768x1152 pixels and beautifully shot! Newest videos are now being offered in a 720+x576 format as well as the medium quality format that was formally the standard. I would like to see WMV files as well as, or other than, the MPEG's that are currently offered, but that's just me.
- Updates are consistent and can be expected every 4 days. They are not always the largest of updates (30-60+ images or so), but nice to see them like clockwork nonetheless.
- The site design is simple and still fairly new from what I read so there's still some glitches and improvements to be made. Soon you will find "news and requests pages" online but for now you can browse the images and videos in chronological order as well as access a models index and the message board. So far there are 19+ gorgeous models to check out and this site really speaks glamour meets bondage/shackles.
- Image sets are offered as zip file downloads, making it easy as cake to save them for further pleasures.
The Bad:
- So I mentioned in "the good" section that the site design is simple; which it is and I like, but as of late there are still some bugs to be worked out. For instance, the model index lists the girls 1 girl at a time making for one hell of a long scroll (I do see that they're still working on this, however). I also didn't like being asked for my password when I tried to view the content by model (which is listed as text links rather than a preview thumb). You are also asked your password again when visiting the message board, and finally, they need to make it easier to get back to the main member's page (or offer a menu bar) so it's a bit easier to get back and forth between the image and video content. I would also love to see a search feature or maybe content categories/types of restraints used as the archives grow, but for now I'm not sure the site really needs it.
- Don't be coming here and expecting hardcore suck and fuck scenes either! This is straight-up bondage and shacked up content complete with dungeon scenes, cuffs, heavy chains, leg irons, and more. All content is beautifully shot and displays a kinky, yet tasteful manner.
- I can't be sure but the site does say that videos are rotated out. Considering they've got a smallish collection to start with, I'd really hope for this to no longer be true. Also, there aren't enough download options for the videos and that takes away from the site some.
The Conclusion:
Overall I'm not really sure where I stand on this site. At first I thought it was all fairly new and still a work in progress but now I'm not sure. Updates are indeed consistent but are small and only come every 4 days. The content is great though unless you need some hardcore sex in with your shackled maidens, because you won't find it here. Image sets can get a little repetitive from pic to pic and I'd love to see the photographer here get a little more creative with the sets. All in all $19.95 is a fair enough price for this site but I hope Shackled Maidens makes some improvements in the near future to round things out a bit more.
