Shackled Maidens promises only the prettiest girls in unusual and heavy metal restraints. The beauties on the homepage definitely look hot enough! Shackled Maides is a softcore bondage site that has a certain glamour touch to it. I was surprised, in fact, by how softcore the material is after reading about how the tools they use are authentic torture devices dating back to the 15th century! There isn't much information beyond that shared in the tour, besides the fact that they currently have 5,000 photos and membership costs $20 a month.
The Goods -
The site contains original and unique bondage material. The models really are gorgeous but not in an over the top pornstar kind of way. They look like fashion models, just caught in some kinky scenarios. The bondage looks very authentic. The only thing that doesn't look authentic to the bondage scene is how relaxed the models are even with their wrists in handcuffs looked in a cage with a cold, hard chain restraining them. They don't look frightened of these torture devices at all. Instead they seem to be teasing and tempting you to take advantage of their apparent vulnerability.
Picture quality is really nice. The images are good sized at 1152x768 and very sharp and professional looking. They have a great style to them. Clearly the photographer knows what he is doing and how to capture interesting fetish photos.
Updates come very regularly. You can count on a new gallery to be added every four days. They're quite consistant with the new sets.
The Bads -
The design and navigation are a touch too simple. Your main method of browsing the galleries is one long list. This makes for a lot of scrolling. I was pleased to find a model index, but even it oould be better if they used thumbnails instead of textlinks. Of course, categories would also be a nice addition. The design is clean, but the plain black background with white text is a bit boring.
The video section is very small. There are only five movies currently available and the last one was added three months ago. There are no video options, either. All you can do is download the movie in a zip to view the medium quality mpeg. They look nice, but I was diappointed that this section seemed such an afterthought.
Actually, the whole site could use some growth. 5,000 pictures isn't a large collection and even though updates come often, the galleries are sometimes very small with around 50 pictures. The site definitely needs to keep growing.
Conclusion -
Shackled Maidens has some nice potential. I'm always a fan of exclusive high-quality fetish material, especially when it's of girls as pretty as these. The site itself, though, could use some work. A larger collection is needed along with more browse and video options. Those changes are easy enough to be made when you're starting with good looking content, at least. Interested surfers should also keep in mind the softcore nature of the site. For those with a taste for glamour bondage, though, Shackled Maidens is worth your time.
