Sex Search is an adult personals site featuring “millions of members looking for sex.” Rather than taking a passive approach at getting off and just joining another paysite, here you can take the initiative and find hot women, men, and couples for online hook ups and real life encounters.
The Goods –
This is a huge site. With over a million members, you’re sure to find someone interesting. As I write this, there are currently over 270,000 other members online. While I was logged in, I received dozens of private messages so there really are a lot of horny people on this site ready for action.
There’s also some extra content to check out. Head on over to the Gold Room for pictures, videos, games, stories, advice, cartoons, and more. When you’re taking a break between looking for hook ups, there’s plenty of material here in lots of different niches to keep you busy.
They’ve got an Advanced Search feature that’s a great tool for sorting through the millions of members. You can search for any combination of factors, like age, interest, location, marital status, sexual preference, body hair, body type, height, ethnicity, language, hair color, eye color, smoking, drinking, and photos. There’s also a quick search, auto matches, new member listings, and lists of most popular members.
The Bads –
There are way too many ads and upsells. As soon as I logged in to the member’s area the first thing I saw was a full page ad to upgrade my membership. The homepage had ads for toys, webcam girls, and DVDs. I’m not a fan of upsells like this, especially when I’m already paying $30-$35 (depending on membership level) a month.
There are lots of fake ads. This isn’t unique to Sex Search, although some of the other ad sites do have some verification processes to help weed out the made up ones. Just take a quick look through some of the single women. If you’re truly looking for a real person to hook up with, you might as well skip just about all of the ones with professional pictures because those are either people trying to use someone else’s photo, or a model trying to get you to her site. Either way, it’s probably not a horny honey at home waiting to chat with you.
The private chat invitations got a little old. They pop up in your browser when someone wants to talk with you. It’s great that there are so many folks out there who want to chat, but it would be nice if they were a bit more subtle about displaying these requests. I got up from my computer for 10 minutes and when I came back there were 5 requests waiting that I had to click through.
Conclusion –
There’s a lot to enjoy on Sex Search and there’s plenty here to keep you entertained for a long time. Whether you’ll actually find other people you want to hook up with, I can’t say. But it’s worth a try. Nothing really stood about to me from other personals site, but it’s a fine enough join for some cyber fun.
