Intro

Self Shot Boys is up for review today, and you can probably put two and two together to get an idea of what kind of content you'll see here. While I don't think it's actually user-submitted content, it's definitely amateur-style. From there, they offer anything from solo male to hardcore gay action. $25 a month gets you in the door, and the site is part of a group of similar amateur gay sites, but they don't really mention if you get full access to everything or just this one site in the tour. Weird.

The Pros

Fun amateur-style gay scenes.

The site isn't huge, but there's a mix of both solo and hardcore gay action here to check out. Sometimes it's a guy jacking off for the camera, and other times, two guys get down and dirty with each other. Like I said, I don't know that this is true homemade content, but it definitely has an amateur feel to it overall.

Other Good Stuff:

Updates do come in here weekly at least, which is good to see. It's pretty standard in terms of update schedules, but at least the site is active, and they're pretty consistent.
There are a few HD videos here to check out. They don't look perfect, but they're a lot better than the SD versions.

The Cons

Needs some growth.

There are around 60 photo galleries, and around 45 videos up currently, which doesn't make for a lot of content overall unfortunately. You can easily get through everything here in probably a week or so, depending how fast you can power through a site. More content is needed ASAP.

Quality could be better overall.

Though there are a few HD videos here, even those don't look great honestly. The vast majority of the site comes in SD, and they look well below par for what we're used to seeing. Expect iffy lighting, some compression artifacts, and more in these things. The photos don't look a whole lot better.

Minor Negatives:

There are no zip files available here for the photo galleries, which may be annoying for some.
The video updates come weekly, and so did the photo galleries, but they stopped updating about a month ago for some reason. Hopefully it's a temporary glitch.

Bottom Line

An okay start, but this site will need some time to grow and mature in my opinion.

Self Shot Boys has a few okay scenes up, but it's definitely going to take some time before they get into any territory where they're memorable or anything. They need more content, higher quality, and more options all around. If something really grabs your attention in the tour, it could be worth a quick look, but as a whole, I'd definitely wait some time here to see if things improve in the future.
