Sean Cody is up for review today, and the site doesn't give you much actual info on what you'll be seeing inside. However, the tour pretty much mimics the member's area, so you get some good previews of the content at least. It looks to be a gay muscle type site. I wouldn't go so far as to call them bodybuilders all the way around, as some guys aren't quite that big. However, everyone is definitely in shape and works out a ton. It seems like a mix between solo male and gay hardcore scenes, and you can join the site for $28 a month.
The goods:
- Lots of videos up! They currently offer 620 videos right now, which is huge for just a standard (non-DVD) paysite like this. I couldn't believe it when I saw 53 pages of content online, as most sites are under 50 scenes these days.
- Videos look great. They say they're filmed in high definition, though they don't quite hit the HD mark here. Still, they come in at 960x540 and 12,000+ kbps (that's 12.4mbps actually), which again is unheard of. They look great all around, and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between these, and some of those HD 1280x720 2mbps videos for sure.
- Exclusive gay content. They advertise the content as all exclusive, and it definitely seems that's the case. They have a solid mix of softcore and hardcore gay shoots, so you should find something you like here. Plus, all the dudes are younger in great shape, so hopefully that's your thing.
- Some good video options. Videos come in four Windows Media Video download options, two WMV streaming options, four Quicktime options, and four MP4 (which should work in your iPod, etc.). Not too shabby!
The bads:
- Navigation could be beefed up. They basically give you a list of 12 thumbnails and a scene title on each page and let you have at it. Thankfully you can jump through all the pages easily, but there are 53 of them, so it's hit or miss to find something you like. They have a "search" that is really just a dropdown list of the models, which isn't a huge help since you can't see any face shots or anything. A more robust search would be great to find models, types of models, types of scenes, sex action, etc.
- Updates aren't dated. I assume with over 600 scenes that updates come pretty often here, but I have no idea what the specifics are. They could update a ton, or they could be done all around.
- No actual photos. All the photos here are just vidcaps. It doesn't deter me much, as the videos are the reason to join this site, but it may disappoint some.
Conclusion:
Sean Cody was a great site overall, and much better than expected I'd say. The problems are minimal, and I'd say the main one is just the lack of update info (which is easily fixed of course). The navigation isn't the best, but it's a clean site that's easy to figure out at least. Otherwise, the content is great, the quality is great, the size of the site is great, and the video options are great as well. With so much to see, you're bound to have fun here I'd say, one way or another.
