Intro

I like when sites have clever, short, and catchy site titles and Screw.com definitely qualifies there. This is a DVD movie download site and the guest tour is set-up with an open book style where visitors can browse the collection exactly as members see it. Spending a few minutes there will let you know if they have the titles, performers, studios, and niches you're looking for. Their collection comes from a mix of a few dozen different movie studios.

The Pros

Large Collection of Hardcore DVDs, Popular Niches.

The first thing to check out on movie download sites like this is the actual database of movies. Screw has a pretty good sized collection with well over a thousand full-length DVDs. Each of those has a handful of scenes so extrapolating that out makes for a sizable amount of individual videos.

Downloadable Full-Scene AVI, WMV, MP4, & Portable Formats.

The downloadable movies are full-scene files and they're available in several formats. DivX AVI is the highest quality and then there is MP4 and two levels of WMV. Several portable formats are also offered and they have WMV in-browser streaming. Things are pretty straightforward in terms of downloading and the number of different formats is Screw's biggest strength in this area.

Clean Site Design w/ Niche, Studio, & Series Browsing.

The browsing options featured on Screw.com are fairly standard for sites of this kind. There are options for filtering by niche, studio, and series. A partial pornstar list is available containing popular models. Keyword and an advanced search as in place as well. The overall appearance of the site is clean and uncluttered.

Other Good Stuff:

New Releases update log with daily additions.
Clear file size information is posted for each movie.
These guys have set up a special discount price for TBP users which makes the cost lower than their standard rate.

The Cons

Video Quality is Only Average, No High-Res Level.

Let%u2019s face it the DVD download category is one competitive niche. While Screw.com has quite a number of different movie formats they specs/quality are fairly average for a site of this kind. They don't offer up what would be considered high-resolution movies and the basic level offered could be ratcheted up a bit.

No Model Index, Could Use Additional Navigation Tools.

One of the things missing from the site design is an alphabetical model index with preview images. A tool like that simply makes for this type of site. What is available in this area is a text film star list with a couple dozen girls. The individual movies pages do have hyperlinked model names so it's odd that there isn't a fully developed model index.

Non-Exclusive Content Collection.

The material here comes from a number of different studio but it is content that can be found on other competing sites. Simply put this is non-original content which is the natures of DVD sites.

Minor Negatives:

Streaming format is a very small WMV player.
Individual movie pages don't show date-added updated information.

Bottom Line

A DVD download site with quite a number of video formats & a clean design.

Screw is one of those sites where what you see is what you get. These guys simply lay it all on there on the guest tour and they do have a nice collection of full length DVDs. I like that they have the different video formats but think they could or should ramp things up in terms of video quality. Overall while they haven't developed any one feature that really stands out this is a well rounded DVD download site that has the important components in place.
