Intro

Rope Rookie is up for review today, and this is an erotic photography site that features girls tied up in various forms of bondage. It's actually an interesting mix of the BDSM material along with some great looks at the female form. The photographer plays with lighting and colors quite a bit to set the scene, and it makes for some fun content. It's part of a small group of sites from the same guy called the Private Planet Network, and you get full access to everything for $25 a month.

The Pros

Great fetish photography.

I love the content here. The photographer has a good eye and creates some pretty interesting scenes. The girls are tied up with various things, and other props can be introduced as well. From there, he gets them in some pretty erotic poses and settings to really create a nice scene. There's a lot done in the way of lighting and colors, and you get a pretty good look at the female body as well.

You get access to a few other bonus sites shot by the same guy, so you should definitely check them out as the content could interest you.

The Cons

Not a very large site.

With around 110-115 photo sets up currently, and no videos, there isn't a ton to see here for now. I see this more of a site that you'd join and check out, but not hang out at for very long, in its current state at least.

Doesn't seem to be updating.

Unfortunately, nothing is dated here, so figuring out how and when they add new content is pretty difficult. We do our own counts, of course, and haven't seen any growth in a while. I'm not sure if they're just on a break, since this seems like more of a one-man show, or if they're done completely. Definitely keep an eye out.

No videos available.

Granted, this is a photography site, so the lack of videos is somewhat understandable. However, many people are really into videos, and I think not offering anything in that department is definitely holding them back. Even a few behind the scenes videos would be a nice touch.

Navigation isn't great.

The site is pretty plain overall, and they lack even the basic options for getting around. First, browsing their galleries is very basic as they only offer a link go to the very next page. They need to add some links to each page so you can jump wherever you want right away. Second, they have no search, and not even a models index to browse through or anything.

Minor Negatives:

There's very little in the way of scene info. There's a basic little sentence, but I'd love a lot more info on what was going on.
In addition to the lack of scene info, there's actually no model info at all. I'd love to read more about the girls and their background.
I wouldn't mind larger pictures here. I think the quality is high enough that they could get them pretty large.

Bottom Line

I like the content a lot, but unfortunately it's a pretty small and simple site overall.

Rope Rookie has great content, so for that reason alone, it may be worth checking out. The photography is interesting, unique, and provides some nice fetish material. Quality is decent, though the photos could be offered in a larger size in my opinion. However, there's very little to see, and no real signs of any growth lately. The site also lacks in personality since they don't offer much in the way of model or scene background info. The lack of videos is understandable, though may turn some more people off as well. I like what's up here, but it's just too small and lacking much activity to get real excited long-term at this point.
