RonHarris.com is the website of erotic photographer Ron Harris, who has been photographing beautiful women for the past 50 years. With numerous awards and accolades under his belt, Harris has appeared on such mainstream shows as Extra, Hardcopy, and Good Morning America, been interviewed in such publications as The New York Times and The Washington Post, and photographed for magazines ranging from Glamour to Playboy. His goals are lofty and ambitious. He vows to only shoot women between the ages of 18 and 23 for his website, to only shoot beautiful, natural women, to color correct the images but not airbrush, to only photograph real orgasms. Essentially, according to Harris, he seeks "to make Ron Harris Studio the porn site by which all others are judged." Looking around the tour I must admit the women are beautiful and the pictures are very well-shot. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of his work.
The Goods –
All of the content here is exclusive. Every last picture and video in this collection is completely original and cannot be found anywhere else. There’s a reason why Harris has been a successful photographer for 50 years and the quality and style of these scenes is evidence why he has such a devoted following. You won’t see this content, or content like it, elsewhere on the web.
Quality is the name of the game and it doesn’t get better than this! Photos are offered in three image sizes, all the way up to 4368x2912, dubbed “Life Size” by the site. Even the mid-level photos were huge. And of course, they’re super sharp and just about as professional as you can get. The videos also look fantastic. They’re high definition, playing at up to 4000k and 1280x720 in size. The quality here is as good as it gets!
The bonus content here is far more interesting and unusual than what we usually see. Take a look at Harris’ “Best of the Past” and check out the roots of the collection. Aerobicise offers you a look at a video released in 1981 and earned Harris the title “The Granddaddy of Softcore” by none other than Playboy Magazine. “Naked Power” presents Harris’ journey into women’s bodies and a look at the power they posses. This isn’t your usual assortment of third party feeds!
There are plenty of options for viewing the photos and videos. Pictures are offered in three image sizes, along with a zip download. Videos play in Windows Media and Quicktime in three quality settings each. There’s also a streaming and iPod option. They cover their bases quite nicely.
The Bads –
Membership is expensive. It’ll cost you $35 a month to be a member of Harris’ site. I can kind of understand why it is so expensive, since this is super high quality original content with gorgeous models, but still, that’s just a lot to pay for any site.
The site could use a few more navigational features. The model index is nice, but it can only be sorted alphabetically. You’re also just given one category, girl-girl. A more extensive list of categories along with a search tool that lets you search both models and scenes would be great enhancements to the site.
Conclusion –
I was a big fan of RonHarris.com when we first visited the site back in September of 2003. Five years later, and it’s just bigger and better than ever. The high quality content and beautiful models make this site well worth a visit, even at the high price. I’d love to see more user features for browsing and a lower price would be great, but the real reason you’re joining RonHarris.com is for the super high quality content and they more than deliver that.
