Retro Raw presents classic XXX videos from the 1960s-1980s. Stars like John Holmes, Seka, Ginger Lynn, and Vanessa Del Rio can all be found inside this vintage collection. The tour is filled with boxcovers and preview pictures to give you an idea of who and what you’ll see inside.
The Goods –
This is a very unique collection of videos. It’s a great set of movies to relive the porn of your past or simply to enjoy a time when hair was a bit bigger, clothes were funkier, and breasts were a bit less enhanced. And when was the last time you saw puppet porn? That right there is reason enough to give it a try.
The videos play at a pretty good rate. The “high quality” wmvs play at 2000k and look fairly good for their age. They’re a bit pixilated and not as sharp as today’s DVDs, but overall they were large and looked nice enough.
The Bads –
More browse tools are badly needed. You can browse the scenes and boxcovers by date and there’s a alphabetical text-only list of scenes and that’s it. Categories are needed, as is the ability to search by model. A lot of members will come to a site like this looking for a specific star and it’s a shame that it is so difficult, if not impossible, to find them in the collection.
Hardly any information is provided about these movies. Other than what you can read from their scan of the boxcover, they don’t give you the stars’ names, the studio, the year, or anything else. You get a line or two of description and that is it.
Updates don’t come all that often. It looks like a new movie is added every 11 or 12 days on average, so two or three times a month. They are coming, at least, but not as often as I would like.
Conclusion –
If you’re looking for something different, Retro Raw is worth a try. With the infrequent updates and the relative novelty of the content, I’m not sure this is a site that I could remain a member of month after month, but it is a fun place to check in every once in a while. The price is fair and the videos look nice enough, so it definitely deserves a look for a blast from the past.
