Is this a new trend or something? This is the second time this week we've come across a weird site that's a mix of a single-model and multi-model idea. Today's site is called Rebekah Dee (I probably spelled that one wrong) & Friends. We don't learn anything about Rebekah, except that she has friends, and is "British and very dirty" according to her catchphrase.
She charges $19 a month to get in the door, which isn't too bad. The design is simple, but it's easy to get around which matters most. I went to her gallery first, and it seems most all the sets are of Rebekah herself. Where'd the friends go? Thankfully she has a personal file (aka bio) available so you can read up on her.
Finding a gallery can be done chronologically, or by category. Kudos for having both options available! You get a preview image, title, date, and description of the gallery as well before going inside. The one complaint I have is that with one gallery per line, it takes a lot of scrolling to get through the page. The same goes for viewing an actual gallery, with only four thumbs per row. She also squishes the horizontal thumbs to fit in a vertical preview pic, which looks pretty bad. The real pictures are actually pretty nice here. Even within a set they can vary in size, but were either 1000x750 (horizontal), or 570x750 (vertical). I wish she would have kept them all the larger size. It must be an automatic program that resized them to keep the height stuck at 758 or whatever - weird. There's a good amount to see here, though no boy/girl hardcore, and older sets have smaller images with a bit lesser quality of course.
The video section is a bit smaller, but that's usually the case on sites like these. They usually come in two formats, Windows Media and DivX which are a good mix. The WMV versions come from an actual streaming server, which is interesting, so they can't be saved or anything. It also takes quite a while to get through the buffering here, while the DivX downloaded very quickly. I suspect her hosting company offers a streaming server she's using that's just overloaded (since it would be pretty expensive to get her own, but who knows!). Most of them don't look that great, while the newest one looks a lot better. Hopefully she continues in that tradition.
She has a webcam show she does weekly I assume for some interaction with her. There's no diary, which I usually enjoy reading a bit when they have one. There is a message board to check out, though it's not too active really. Overall it's not a bad site. I don't understand where the "friends" come in since there aren't too many around. Still, it's a decent site for Rebekah fans with decent pictures and all.
