Ok, now don't get me wrong here, I like reality networks as much as the next guy. But man, doesn't it seem like they're popping up all over the place these days? Case in point is our review for today called Reality Pass Plus. I haven't really checked out the sites much yet, but my main enjoyment so far has come from the site titles. They have such beauties as Tiny's Black Adventures, Bus Stop Whores, Horny Spanish Flies, and Mr. Chew's Asian Beaver. Hell, I'm horny just waiting for them to come out with a new site to see what it's called!
The site costs $30 a month to join (although if you joined through one of the sites in the network, it's $40 - weird), which is on the higher end of normal for this type of site. With that you get access to 16 sites total, 75% of which are up-to-date on their updates. Unfortunately as I look around, I also notice that the member's areas all use a template and look basically the same. I'm not sure why, but this irks me as it seems like a cheap way of doing things. They have their own header and stuff, but the sites are all identical for the most part.
The sites basically just throw some scenes up in a pretty simple layout. They offer up the standard videos and pics, although the pictures are nothing more than screen caps. They come in at 640x480 across all the sites. They seem to just be taken at set intervals from the videos, so I'd rather see the real thing than look at the caps.
The videos are only offered in streaming format in your browser unfortunately. Can it get much worse here? They do offer three quality options, and all of them are Windows Media format. Thankfully, they're actually decent quality, too. The high-quality version comes in at 480x360 and 500kbps. Windows Media will make the video full-screen if you like, although there's no download option. If you want to poke around, you can figure out how to I'm sure, but not for the average user.
They have quite a bit of extra content available, including photos, live show plugins, and more. While they have quite a few sites included, all of the sites are relatively new right now (opening in May, 2004 it looks like), but most offer weekly updates. Most times there's only about 16 episodes available right now, which isn't good on its own, but as a whole it's not as bad.
The biggest problem here is the monthly price, which isn't too much higher than other networks, but it does come into play. The actual video content is probably the biggest plus, as it's some decent reality stuff. It's too bad they don't offer better photos, and don't let you download the videos. It's not a horrible offering overall, but I think you could find slightly better sites for a little less if you look around a bit. Hopefully, in time, Reality Pass Plus can grow and adapt to offer a few more features for your money.

Wow, it's been a really long time since we've looked at this network as a whole (over two years??). They are still going pretty strong with more sites and more content than last time, which is expected after such a long time I suppose. I'm going to be a little more harsh on them these days for only offering videos that play in your browser, as downloadable videos is a pretty important feature for most people. The quality of the content could use a boost as well I'd say, but it doesn't matter quite as much since you're watching them in IE anyway. They do offer a lot of material at least, but I wish those two features could be fixed. The $30 price tag is also a little high, but it's right about where I expected it for this type of network.
Score increased from 80.0 to 80.6.
