I hope a Reality Pass isn't anything like a bus pass. I lost that thing more times than I can remember, and all it did was basically make me walk a long ways and wait for the damn bus to arrive, only to be taken to school with a bunch of dumbasses, none of whom wanted to be there. This Reality Pass, thankfully, is a much better deal where you obviously get to check out some porn. Let's see, school or porn? Which is better?
The basics include a $30 monthly membership fee (as well as a $5 three-day trial), 11 sites included with access, and some pretty standard reality niche sites. I usually like networks like this, mostly because you get so much more for your money than with just one paysite. Judging by the site titles, about half of the sites are just fake excuses to shoot some generic boy/girl porn. The other half do get into some niches, though, with trannies, lesbians, MILF's, and surprisingly two gay sites represented here.
The sites are all setup pretty much exactly the same. The main Reality Pass member's page contains a brief description and links to their sites. They then open in a frame, with a Reality Pass link always at the top so you can get back to check out the other sites. The main page of each site features a list of the scenes available, and serves both as the news page and galleries page. From there, you can select your scene and it'll give you a list of all the available clips. At the bottom of that page is a link to the photo gallery as well.
The pictures here confuse me. There seems to be both video captures, and regular pictures available. I'm not sure how or why they choose which. The majority seems to be normal digital camera photos, at 800x600 (or 800x533 sometimes). Sometimes they just get that screen cap look to them, even though they're the same size (and sometimes they're 720x480 which has got to be from a video camera!). Either way, they're about what you'd expect to see on reality sites. They're good for what they are, but why not just check out the video since that's where the action is.
They have four options for viewing the videos (well, technically there's eight options). First you have quality settings of low, medium, high, and ultra. Then you can choose to watch the clip, or download it. They also have clips of the movies, or a full-length download if you want that as well. Good options! When you watch them in the browser, they look pretty good with the video usually being 320x240 and the encoding changing (ultra is about 500kbps). When you download them, they're still Windows Media but are larger for some reason. Here the video size jumps up to a larger one (570x380 on what I'm watching now), and the quality is at 750kbps all around (even if you click the low-quality link). Different sites have different specs, others had 420x316 (600kbps), but most were at the 750kbps I saw first. The quality just wasn't there for me on these videos unfortunately. The audio wasn't real good at all (sounded like someone turned the treble down or something), and the picture quality of the videos wasn't very sharp. They were a bit of a disappointment.
I guess it's another option in the reality genre. They aren't setup too bad, but the video quality problems definitely hurt them when compared to other sites. Also, the gimmicks seemed to be less thought-out and they jump into the main sex scene rather easily at times. $30 seems to be the average price range for these sites, so it's right in line with that. The network seems to be pretty new still (December, 2003 from what I saw is when they opened), so a little bit of time will help as they add more scenes. Most of the sites update once a week, but when you look at all the sites updating that often it adds up. It's a good effort, but just not quite as good as other reality networks I've seen. It's worth a look, though, if you're real into this stuff and want to get some new clips going. The biggest thing I'd want to see changed is just the content in the videos, the rest is pretty good!

Man, where'd all the stuff go? Last time there were at least 10 sites here, and we're down to five now (only three of them are straight). The sites that are left are still quite on the small side which is odd since it's been quite a while. Video viewing options are less than they had before, and browsing around you can find some ghost links that may or may not work. They've beefed up the bonus/third-party content sections, but that's not what you're really here to see. It's too bad as they had promise before, but now it just blends in with all the other barely so-so sites that probably arne't worth a ton of attention.
Score decreased from 83.7 to 73.2.
