1. Simple network design.
2. Good video quality.
1. Few episodes per site.
2. Repetitive content.
"I'm on board with the video quality but the number of sites is small and there's too much reliance on plug-in feeds." |

With Reality Pass we've got another company throwing its hat into the reality site ring. The people behind this already have operated a large number of general hardcore paysites for years and now it they've expanded by creating this reality network. As far as numbers go, with 11 total sites it matches up well with many of the other similar networks available. For some reason these guys have done something that's far too common and pointless in my opinion, that is include gay and tranny sites in the network. It's just seems to me that those should be in a separate network since the crossover appeal has got to be almost non-existent. Not counting the two gay and one tranny sites leaves a total of 8 straight hardcore sites.
A good rule of thumb to follow is reality sites run by big companies won't have the same edginess or humor as the ones that helped to start the trend like Bang Bus or College Fuck Fest. Really, it's the same as any other business where somebody starts a successful trend and everyone else jumps on the bandwagon. Reality Pass falls in the middle of the pack behind very entertaining reality craze originators and ahead of the some other boring corporate copycat networks. Right away there were a few things that I found surprisingly positive. First, the sites have simple layouts, are easy to navigate, and second, the reality videos represent the main thrust of every site in the network. The down side is each site offers a small number of episodes. I don't think any of them have over 17 and most are around 10-15.
Like most reality stuff the pictures are just video screen captures and not worth discussing. The videos are where it's at. The sole format is Windows Media but I liked the viewing choices. Each episode is broken down into seven clips (a few minutes in length each) or it can be watched in full or "uninterrupted" as they call it. Streaming speeds for an in-browser player are Low, Med, High, and Ultra. On top of this everything can be downloaded and played in a regular Media Player. The Ultra feeds and downloaded clips are very nice quality.
The creativity and effort to setting up the scene with the reality "pick up" is about average. Except for a couple of the sites that aren't really reality, these guys go through the routine of starting each episode by scamming on some chick or chicks. The biggest downer is that it's very repetitive and these guys just aren't entertaining enough for my liking. Still some of the concepts are more clever than others. The better ones seem to be where these guys go out in public like Supermarket Whores and Fucked for Free. A couple of the pretty boring ones are Internet Hookups and Rub & Tug. Popular niches are represented including mature (MILF Searcher), anal (Hot Bods & Cool Rides), and lesbian (Chicks Go Both Ways). The bulk of what's found is boy/girl hardcore with bj's, straight sex, and cumshots.
Every site in links through to extra bonus content. Some of what's included are more reality sites from other companies. Also, a "More XXX Movies" section has additional categorized flicks (currently 414). I like this stuff for the simple fact that it has the same layout and downloading choices as the reality episodes. Usually companies just list 3rd party content links and leave surfers to fend for themselves on an outside URL. I don't think I've ever said this about any other paysite, but the bonus content here is actually worth your time and adds a bit of value. It's well organized, relates to the main content, and good quality. Membership cost is somewhat high but tolerable at $29.99/mo. More importantly a $4.99 3-day trial is available. Trials are certainly one of the best benefits big companies offer to their surferes, take advantage of them.

Talk about changes, Reality Pass has been revamped in all sorts of ways. Formerly 11 sites were included here and now that's down to 5 with including both a tranny and a gay site. When logging in now I was taken to a page with these 5 sites along side links to many other plug-in reality site content. The funny thing is when I clicked on a "Reality Pass" link on the network header I found myself with a list of all the old sites where I could still log in to those member areas and view the content. I've seen this before, when some networks reorganize the sometimes don't want to take down old content or they just plain forget. I'm not sure in this case, what I do know is that going to the guest tour urls for any of the removed site just redirects you to the Reality Pass page. So the removed sites are down but Reality Pass members can still reach the content pages. Either way, this network is relying much more heavily on purchased content then it was before. The one redeeming item is that this company hooked us up with an exclusive lower price for all their sites including this network. These scores have changed: Quantity -2, Entertain -1, Updates -2, Exclusive -1.5, Price +1.5, and Value -1.
Score decreased from 81.7 to 74.4.
