Most of us here at The Best Porn are not fans of large, corporate porn sites. Once in a while, though, sites come along that for some reason just need to be looked at. Today, we have one of those in the Raw XXX Network. This site is corporate through and through, but with all the sites they keep adding they've grown to over 70+ sites included with your one membership. That's just a lot to see. Granted, most of the sites are probably going to suck, but it's worth a look regardless.
Just looking at the join page, I see some corporate crap coming into play already. If you join monthly, you can get in for $30 a month. If you join by trial first, your monthly fee will be closer to $40 a month - so buyer beware!! While I normally recommend the trial to check a site our you're not sure you'll like or not, in this case I'd just warn to be careful you don't end up paying $10 a month too much.
Right when I first saw the member's area, I was disappointed to see the typical superfluous links and third-party plugins these types of sites use so much. Still, they do have an easy-to-find list of all the sites you get access to, a menu along the top that allows you to get around the site semi-easily, and links along the left to the most recent galleries. The one thing I did notice was missing on a lot of sites is a video section, as they usually just use video plugins for that.
The pictures on the sites are about as you'd expect - basically small-ish filler content. I was surprised, too, that some of them didn't have more content. The pregnant site, for example, only had 54 galleries up now. Usually the benefit of these corporate sites is the massive amounts of content they put online. Here, there's a lot to see, but it's not overwhelming until you get to some of the more popular sites. A lot of the old standby content providers are used, so you'll recognize a lot of the photo sets.
About the only places I saw actual videos of their own were the reality sites they have. Right now it looks like there's 12 of them, although four of those are geared towards gay content. But still, with eight sites that provides a decent amount of content. I enjoy this stuff so much more than the stock filler content they have on the other ones. You usually get two video options, both which play in your browser, which are Windows Media Video and Quicktime. They usually have both clips, and a full video option available as well. The quality looks pretty good (standard reality stuff), but what really helped was in the WMV window there was a link to download (which also lets you zoom). The videos were 320x240 at 300kbps or so.
There's all kinds of extras to check out, too. From stories to cams, and games to chat. These types of sites usually have every plugin available to webmasters, and they have their fair share here too. Far and away the coolest sites are the reality ones, with the others running a distant second. The pictures are just boring and small, but the reality video is at least somewhat entertaining. While they don't compare in entertainment value to other reality networks, they at least give you some bang for your buck. If you're desperate for some new porn, Raw XXX Network is worth a look (especially if you know you can get off on over-exposed photos). It's not as horrible as I thought, but there are definitely better places to spend your money. The one person that stands to benefit is reality site lovers who are in need of something brand new.

Well, well. It's been a couple of years since we've looked at this network as a whole, though they have so many sites for us to review that I've popped into at least a couple of their sites on a monhtly basis. The best news I can give is that there are about six more reality-type sites than there were last time, and these are the only ones with any unique-ish content unfortunately. Overall, though, most of their sites are quite stagnant and haven't seen much growth. The reliance on third-party feeds and non-exclusive pictures (without any videos of their own) really hurts this one, especially as time goes on and they aren't keeping things fresh.
Score decreased from 77.2 to 70.5.
