Intro

Raw Films features hardcore videos of young gay men having hot bareback sex. In twosomes and threesomes, these guys suck and fuck with nothing between them and the flesh of their partners. To make things even more interesting, these are all German lads. Das ist wirklich gut!

The Pros

Good-sized video collection.

There's plenty of Raw video action to enjoy. There are currently 114 scenes and each is around 15 minutes long. Not bad at all!

Some useful browse tools.

They've got some good sort options for the scenes. Filter by title, actor, synopsis, or keyword. Browse by keyword or view the newest, most downloaded, top rated, or randomly ordered scenes. You can also select how many thumbnails you want displayed on each page. It's a very user-friendly set-up.

Other Good Stuff:

The site design is nice and clean. The colors are attractive and there's just the right about of text and graphics. It's a good-looking site.
The streaming player has some good features. It offers two picture sizes and you can jump ahead immediately in the scene.
Video updates come several times a week. They seem to come in spurts, but you get an average of seven new videos each week.
Good video viewing options! In addition to the streaming choices, you get two quality options for wmv and Quicktime, as well as iPod and PSP downloads.

The Cons

Video quality was average.

The videos could have been sharper. They play at around 1600k and they look good enough, but not great. When I enlarged them at all, things got pixilated. There's definitely room for a quality upgrade.

Tiny photos!

These are really small! I clicked the "large" option and was greeted with pictures that are 600x400 in size. This is definitely a video site, not a photo site, but still, why have such small pictures?

Minor Negatives:

The custom zip tool is cool, but it's annoying to have to select each individual photo you want in it. A "select all" button would be very handy.
Video dialogue is in German. There are subtitles, but they're a little distracting.
It's been nearly two months since a new photo gallery was added to the site. No wonder there are only 4 galleries on the site!
Downloads came very slowly. It was actually better without a download manager because the speed picked up to 450k. It took way too long to download these scenes.

Bottom Line

An entertaining collection, but quality could be better.

Raw Films offers up an entertaining collection of gay movies. The site is user-friendly, with good browse and viewing options. Quality could be upgraded and download speeds definitely need work, but all in all it's a fine site. The membership cost of $30 a month isn't cheap, but at least you're getting near daily updates. Overall, I think it's worth a look for fans of the genre.
