PornstarXS.com is an unlimited download site offering more than 3,355 full-length DVD's for only $14.95 per month (specially reduced for our users). Hit up the tour page and right away you are thrown into the mix with the "featured stars" laid out amongst a triad of search features and browsing options. Each day 2 new full-length DVDs are added and you will find some of your more familiar studios like Red Light District, Elegant Angel, Viv Thomas, and Zero Tolerance, as well many others. But the real draw here is in the quality.
The Pros
Large Archive of DVD Content.
Close to 3,355 DVD's and counting, Pornstar XS adds 2 new DVD's daily for only $14.95 per month. What a steal for so much content! Of course these are you average porno videos ranging from straight sex to a variety of niches and pornstars. There's even some gay and tranny content to be found throughout.
Many Browse/Navigational Features.
There are many ways to navigate the site including a quick search (keyword), advanced search (sexual, clothing, setting, toys, physical appearance, etc.), Pornstar name & type, favorites, by niche, series, studio and more. I especially appreciated the model list in alphabetical order that gave a preview image for reference. Another nice touch is the ability to add a scene to your favorite's folder, or even the full DVD.
2 New DVD's Added Daily.
This large DVD site is constantly growing larger and all new updates are posted on the member's homepage so you can keep up with the latest additions.
Other Good Stuff:
Model index with preview thumbs. Plus the option to view her DVD's, Scenes or add her to your Favorites.
Custom clip scenes are an option for some scenes, although not necessarily the easiest to locate on the page. The custom clip feature allows users to choose where to start and stop a scene using the available screen caps, and then download the custom clip to their hard drive in a couple different quality formats.
The Cons
Non Exclusive DVD Content.
That's the nature of a DVD archive site like this. Nearly all of the content here can be found elsewhere. These are DVDs that you can find on other sites or by ordering the actual DVD yourself.
Quality Needs an Upgrade.
When you're competing with so many other DVD sites out there, you have to be the best of the best. When it comes to quality, it was considered good back when we first reviewed this site, but hasn't progressed with the times unfortunately. Basically, they're a definite step down from what we're used to seeing these days, both in the downloads, and on the streaming video. When you concentrate solely on videos, I think quality is one of the most important things to work on.
No Scene Info Provided.
It's a small detail, but an important one when it comes to a DVD site. Pornstar XS simply offers super short descriptions for the DVD's and the actual scenes, but they're so insignificant they might as well be nonexistent.
Download Speeds Are Slow When Not Using a DL Manager.
I don't know if the speeds are always this slow, but earlier today when using the DL Manager, I got speeds anywhere from 1.2MB/second to 2MB/second. But now, without the DL Manager, I'm only getting speeds up to 130KB/second (and as low as 45KB/second), and a big 45 minutes to 1hr remaining in order to download a 382MB clip.
Minor Negatives:
Download speeds for custom clip scenes were unbearably slow for me. They also used less channels and weren't even a consistent option throughout the site.
Advanced search feature needs an upgrade. The look of it is even archaic. But it's the function I have a problem with. There are so many sub categories to choose from, but I couldn't find a way to select more than one for filtering, making the advanced search feature not so advanced afteral.
Bottom Line
A good DVD site, but upgrades need to be done to compete with the best.
Based on the low $14.95 price tag and the large number of videos, I think Pornstar XS is a worth a look for those of you who just can't get enough porno DVD's onto your hard drive. I do wish they'd go back and update some of their older DVD additions to include at least the same download features and quality as what's being offered these days. Even more so, I wish they'd upgrade the quality of the newer DVD's they're adding; it's long overdue at this point. Overall Pornstar XS is a good DVD site, but they need to work even harder to compare to some of the best.
