PornstarClassics.com is home to all your favorite pornstars in classic films like: Ginger Lynn the Movie, Deep Throat 1, Candy Stripers 1, Anal Annie, Houston 500, Inspector Cliteau and the Pink Panties, Asia Carerra, and much, much more. This is old school porn at its best and I love it! Classic stars like: Amber Lynn, Christy Canyon, Debbie Diamond, Ron Jeremy, Peter North, Buck Adams, John Holmes, Nina Hartley, you get the idea. Even with all the great movie sites out there these days, I still prefer and love classic porno and have been feigning for a site like this for some time. Inside you will find over 1,016+ scenes in 165+ complete films and about 4 new title updates being added each month. This isn't exactly the update schedule I would prefer to see but your reduced monthly membership of only $19.95 per month also gives you access to another 6+ sites within the All Porn Access Network.
The Good:
- Does it get any better than this? Who doesn't love a good classic porno film? The stuff you looked at as teenagers, or snuck a peek at as kids when the parents were away. Pornstar Classics has got a pretty good collection of all your old school favorites and multi-site access is in place to keep you busy in between updates, which come about once per week, roughly.
- Pornstar Classics really only lists their films by star, but if you find a pornstar you like and click on any of their films, you will find that you can also click on the Studio Name for a return list of all films produced by that studio. Gents DVD was a big name on the site but you will also find: Fat Dog Productions, Paradise Visuals, Arrow Films, Dreamland Videos, Now Showing, Classic X Collection and many more of your old time favorites.
- Films are broken down by scene, and then each scene is further broken down into a filmstrip (much like the acclaimed Video Box where they probably got the idea from), which can be selected at any point in order to view the exact time frame/action you desire. Streams/downloads are offered at 150k, 384k and 768k with no limit for downloads.
- Seeing as these are some real old videos dating back to the 70's on, the quality is actually not bad. Streams as high as 800k look pretty good, but obviously you're not going to find the same amazing quality picture and sound that you get from today’s' films.
The Bad:
- Unfortunately some of these movies are so old that the quality just can't be matched to today’s' standards. The picture quality often times looks washed out and the sound isn't always the best. But then again, would anything else bring you back to the old school the same?
- Pornstar Classics isn't the easiest site to browse in that they don't offer easy access to their Studio listings and don't offer anything in the way of categories for the films. There is a search feature, however, and typing in anal returned only 3+ movies (I guess anal wasn't as big back then as it is now).
- Updates aren't completely consistent and can sometimes be as long as 10 days in between. They average about 4 new videos per month, but compared to other video sites it just doesn't match up. Granted these are some old school classics that you probably can't find most anywhere else, but the lapse between updates is enough to drive anyone crazy. Thankfully they've got the whole Network access going for them.
The Conclusion:
I like old classic pornos, so for me Pornstar Classics was a treat in itself. I see so many porn sites that it's a great feeling to feel such joy while checking out a site. Sure there is plenty of room for improvement overall here. I think they've done about the best they could with quality, but I'd like to see if they could do even better? The picture quality may not always match up to today’s' films, but it would be cool to see them give it a go just the same. My biggest complaint here (other than the sparse update schedule) would be with how limiting the design and navigation is. They've managed to pull off nice scene stream/downloading features, now let's get some real advanced browsing ones added as well. Overall Pornstar Classics is definitely a site worth seeing if you're game for a blast from the past and like the idea of a nicely reduced membership price tag along with multi-site access (and who doesn't?).
