A lot of guys have a soft spot in their hearts for vintage porn. Ok, maybe not vintage, but films from the 70s and 80s. Maybe these were the first movies you jacked to or maybe these were the first models you admired in your Playboy magazine, stolen from your father’s collection. They’re not easy to find since the world went digital but Pornstar Classics is out to change that. They offer classic flicks from the 1970s-1980s featuring babes like Ginger Lynn, Christy Canyon, and Nina Hartley. These ladies had it all, big hair, big boobs, and big orgasms.
The Goods –
Pornstar Classics is a cool idea for a site. It isn’t easy to find these videos, when most sites are focused on offering the newest movies of the freshest faces. Porn did exist before the internet and now it’s very easy to find some old favorites.
Considering that we’re looking at movies made 20 to 30 years ago, these scenes look pretty sharp. They’re not DVD quality by any means, but even if you were to pop a VHS from 20 years ago into your VCR (if you still had one), it would have a different look to it. Technology has changed a lot since then and with that in mind, the movies on Pornstar Classic are probably as good as you can get.
Members get access to the All Porn Access network of sites. Seven sites are included and the main themes are milfs and classic films, with teens and hardcore thrown in for good measure. Considering that you can get all this at a special TBP price of $20 a month, that’s a very good value.
The Bads –
Compared to most video archive sites, the collection here isn’t all that large. There are currently 164 videos online. That’s not bad, especially for a site that is limited to this genre, but there’s still a lot of room for growth.
More browse options would be helpful. The main way to browse right now is an alphabetical text list of stars. Thumbnails would be greatly appreciated. I’d also like to see some categories for browsing the movies. The keyword search isn’t all that helpful with some pretty basic terms coming up with no results. The site has a nice clean design, but not nearly enough features.
While I give them credit for video quality considering the age of the content, looking at these videos and objectively comparing them to most video sites leaves me with an average quality rating. You’ll find us complaining about sites that offer content clearly shot 2 or 3 years ago, let alone 20 or 30 years ago. They just look average by today’s standards.
Conclusion –
If you’re fan of ladies with full bush and big hair, check out the hotties on Pornstar Classics. They’re putting together quite a collection that definitely fills a void in today’s porn world. The site has a few limitations, most of which are easy enough to fix. If you’re after this kind of video, Pornstar Classics definitely won’t disappoint and I’m looking forward to seeing where they go from here.
