Like the name suggests, PopBoys.com is a cutie pie twink site featuring young men dreaming of becoming a "star". In the case of this site it's a pop star, but what they really end up becoming are stars in a porno film. Meet previous gay model Ben Huller, the owner and founder of PopBoys.com. Apparently the agency he's created really does promote pop stars, but these are the kind of pop star wannabe boys that are willing to fuck their way up to the top. Currently there are 53+ models with photo/video shoots, and it looks like 1-2 new ones are added each month. That's not quite the update schedule we normally like to see for a site, but everything here is exclusive, and 6+ sites are included in your $29.95 monthly membership.
The Good:
- Exclusive reality based content featuring young men looking for stardom, but to get there, they're going to have to first perform sexual favors for the producer. The hardcore content here is enjoyable to watch and very well produced/shot. Each update contains a short, but descriptive paragraph, a video page, and a photo set.
- Full-length video downloads in large and small formats (WMV & AVI). You can also download the movie in parts (AVI format only).
- Newest video quality is good with bitrates as high as 3700k. The color felt a little washed out at times but otherwise the picture quality was very good. Older video content streams up to 1000k. The digital images are nice quality too, although they could be larger in size.
- Multi-site access gives members something to see in between updates. At least 6+ additional sites are offered with your membership to Pop Boys.
The Bad:
- Limited browse options. There is no main model index or content search. All models are listed as updates in chronological order, which serves as your only navigational option.
- No zip files for image sets and video parts are AVI format only. A few more download options for the content would be helpful.
- Updates are slow coming. Currently new content is only being added 1-2 times per month, which means there is a lot of downtime in between updates.
- Not a lot of model bio information or site personality. For the type of site and content being offered by producer and pop star seducer Ben Huller, I was expecting a higher level of site personality.
The Conclusion:
PopBoys.com isn't a large site by any means, but the hardcore content does pack quite a punch. I only wish that the site personality and update schedule lived up to that same enthusiasm. There is too much downtime in between updates here, which makes the multi-site access necessary, especially for the membership price of almost $30 bucks per month. Entertaining videos aside, I don't think this site could survive on its own at that price. In the future I hope to see updates being added in a more timely fashion, as well as a model index & bio information to round out the site's personality a bit.
