Previously we have reviewed the live cam site Flirt 4 Free which offers more than 3,900+ models with around 60+ online at any one time. The site score pretty good overall, but certainly didn't blow any of the other cam sites out there out of the waters, and the biggest plus being in its smooth design & organization. Well now we're here to review Flirt 4 Frees' sister and VIP site currently owned under the Playboy name and is called PlayboyLiveVIP.com. You'll notice that other than a little tweaking to the design, everything stays pretty much the same even down to the number of and girls online. So what does VIP status get you then? Well how about access to additional content like 22,000+, 827+ videos, and the ability for free group chat, feature shows and more.
The Good:
- During my visit there were 60+ models online live, although I felt the organization and information was lacking compared to the regular Flirt 4 Free which also offers a few men and some shemales. Model bios are offered for all 4,300+ models and offers up some nice information including body stats, interests, schedules (sometimes) and the option to add them to your favorite’s folder. The pricing structure is the same as the non-VIP site, but here you also are able to enter into free group chat, watch featured shows and check out the addition photo & video content.
- The Voyeur Chat selection is pretty cool. It allows you to silently watch a private cam show and is great for people like me who just like to watch and don't feel as comfortable talking to or instructing the models. I watched a hot chick masturbate at the tune of $1.99 per minute. Of course you can see the same thing on a smaller scale (and less smoothly) for free when you click to check out a live model.
- When entering a pay chat, you are given the choice of 4 videos sizes - from small to extra large. I found the extra large video to be too pixilated to enjoy, but the large looked okay. The smoothest looking stream was obviously the smallest one, but the medium size would work just fine for most, which was about 340x280.
The Bad:
- I actually found the site design to be more restrictive than the Flirt 4 Free site which offers search filters and better stats for the online models. This is definitely not good considering I already found the Flirt 4 Free site to not offer enough browse options.
- Expensive! On top of an almost $30 buck per month membership fee (that gets you all the cool user-features, blogs and pictures), private 1-on-1's are about $6 bucks per minute, voyeur mode (to watch someone else’s 1-on-1) is about $2 bucks per minute as is the group chat options. Considering there are far less options and models here compared to some other live cam sites, I'd say the high per-minute price is one big kick in the pants.
- Video quality can vary depending on the set-up for the girls. While it was overall pretty good, the actual streaming quality of the video did not improve from the smallest video to the extra largest, only the size of the video changed. Therefore, you actually don't get to see super nice & large videos, just so-so quality videos in larger sizes.
The Conclusion:
Most people don't join live cam sites to check out pictures and videos, and it's not like a VIP membership really cuts down on per-minute costs or offers much else, so if you're not interested in still shots and just looking to get down to business, then I'd suggest passing on the Playboy Live VIP membership. It's quite expensive at almost $30 bucks per month and the $5.99 per minute fee for 1-on-1 private cam shows is already enough to send you to the poor house if you're not careful. The girls/models here are mostly very cute and I really enjoyed the bio information, but not enough to justify the high price of entry.
