Pin-Up Wow mostly fits into the photography, glamour, and softcore niches. Additionally there is a splash of things like lingerie, vintage, and English models as well. I'm always pretty fast to point out sites that have unique concepts and I would have to say Pin-Up Wow does have a style of its own.
The Goods:
- Exclusive Pin-Up Style Content. The main selling point here is definitely the sexy models in unique 'pin-up' style shoots. These guys do a good job putting together this type of content from the girls to the clothes to the background settings. As I said in my intro they bring together some different niches/fetishes like lingerie and vintage to create their own type of shoots.
- Nice Pic/Vid Quality & Zip Files. The picture quality is nice and falls just a tad below what TBP labels as 'hi-res'. A couple different quality levels of zip files are available for the galleries as well. The video quality is high as well and they're in high and low quality WMV files.
The Bads:
- Somewhat Choppy Navigation. I ran into a few issues that were frustrating. The main one is that the videos are simply mixed in among the other content and I had a tough time locating them. Second, there are model index pages called 'Stars' and 'Guests' but they simply list biographical info and don't link thru to the girls' content sets. Third, the site was on the slower side when it came to loading pages and the videos downloaded quite slowly as well.
- Smallish Site, Not Many Videos. The picture galleries outnumber the videos by a substantial ratio. Combining both the picture galleries and videos there is a total of about a hundred content pieces on the site. It'll be interesting to see what growth has occurred when we get back for another review.
Conclusion:
Pin-Up Wow is a site with some personality and character which is what it relies on to distinguish itself from the other paysites out there. The price is reasonable at $19.95/mo and they do offer up nice quality pictures and videos that are all original. What they could work on is growth, hammering out some organization issues, and perhaps pushing towards having some higher resolution content. Their pic/vid quality is above average but this concept seems perfectly suited for some ultra high-res material.
