I've reviewed BDSM and fetish sites before but I don't remember any exactly like Paintoy. Before moving ahead I should point out Paintoy has an announcement in its member's area that in November 2004 it merged with its sister site Painfultoys.com, so now this site houses all the content from what used to be two sites. And I have to say as it exists now Paintoy has a good amount of material for its members, which surprised me since the free tour makes the site look somewhat bland. Still, I'd advise you to pay attention to the free tour samples; they give an accurate portrayal of their pictures and videos. They produce everything themselves and keep it exclusive to this site.
Paintoy is all about inflicting pain on women. Of course it's in the context of pleasurable bdsm pain, but more there is more wincing and pained expressions then I remember seeing on any other site. More than one of the girls flat out cries through her performance because the pain is so great. While there is variation in the implements used, the so called "paintoys" (people getting whipped) are all chicks. The sadists inflicting the punishment are a mix of men and women. Some tools used are whips, canes, reeds, paddles, clips, rope, needles, and more, these folks seem to be experts at creating skin red and blistered.
All the models have photo galleries and a large percentage also have videos. Even in the photos the severity of the pain comes through from the look of the skin or expressions on the models faces. The picture size varies across the site although overall they're nice quality with many galleries having large and sharp pics. Some of the most recent additions have pics in the 1078x960 range. While the videos are virtually all Real Player format the quality of those is also good. Usually sites with Real files have grainy videos but that's not the case here. As always the one drawback with Real is the need to enter your username and password for every single clip (what a pain in the ass that is). What I think BDSM fans will really enjoy most of all is the content's focus and intensity. By that I mean the sadists here just don't stop, they keep going and going long after the girls are in obvious pain. By the time they're done I don't know how these chicks can sit, stand, walk, or do anything physical. The videos feature very little talking or interruptions and have no music background, the quietness allows two sounds to come through loud and clear, the crack of the whips and toys hitting the skin and the girl's vocal expressions and cries.
While Paintoy manages to create entertaining content, they could do a better job of organization. The design is simple with seven "gallery pages" full of the pictures and videos. What's missing are categories, I'm sure they could break down the scenes into different types of punishment. That would make it easier for members to find what they're looking for.
The pics and vids make up the whole of the content. After that the site has a link to pay-per-view movies, a links page, updates page, and site info section. $24.95/mo for this exclusive content is doable, my gut tells me fetish enthusiasts will enjoy what Paintoy has to offer; the content alone makes it worthwhile.

Over 2 years have passed since our initial review of Paintoy. Even though it's been a while I definitely recognized it as soon as it opened in my browser. The content has continued to grow and ther's a pretty good amount of stuff to see here both in terms of pictures and videos. What's best about Paintoy still is the intense and serious BDSM nature of the shoots. I stand by my position that fetish enthusiasts will like the pain inflicted on these girls. Things like site design and video formatting have not been changed which is a little disappointing. The Real Player videos with no options really takes away from my enjoyment of what they have to offer.
