I'm not really sure what the last two letters in NAKEDBY have to do with, but I did understand the naked part. A quick trip to their website doesn't reveal a ton of info, but does show some very nice-looking French chicks getting all kinds of naked. The site opened in June, 2006 (NOT April, 2005 as claimed in their tour - that very same graphic has a different date once inside the member's area), and offers all exclusive content that I'd call a little on the artsy side. It doesn't differentiate itself much from other similar sites, with a simple black and white menu listing the years and months of content available, and magazine covers to showcase the recent galleries put online. $20 a month gets you into the site, which isn't a bad start I'd say.
The goods:
- Unique, exclusive content. Of course the content is all exclusive, but at least it's different than your run of the mill porn shoots too. Whether or not it's your thing is a whole different story, but at least they have something a little different here.
- Updates come every other day. No doubt this has helped them grow over time to where they are now. My only complaint is that I wish there would be more video additions thrown in there, but you can't complain too much with the schedule itself.
- Not too small of a site. It's not huge, but it's a decent size for what they're offering. At over 250 galleries so far (and growing quickly), they're doing well enough for being open a year and some change.
The bads:
- No model/scene info here. I was really surprised to see how little info there was available here. There is no info on the scenes, and not even any on the models themselves. There are some excellent sites in this genre out there, and you have to do everything picture perfect to compete with them.
- Videos not a huge priority. With only 40 videos online currently, it's just not a huge concern of theirs right now. It's a tough position to be in since the site is obviously focused on photography, but the internet is moving more and more towards broadband only sites it seems.
- Zip files only for medium photo size. They go to the pain of offering three different photo sizes, but the zip files only have the medium of the three. If they can only do one zip file, I'd rather it have been the large photos at least.
Conclusion:
It's a decent site, though not quite up to snuff with the big boys in the genre. The photos are pretty good, but not outstanding. The lack of info and all definitely hurts, as does the lack of videos overall. Unfortunately, pretty good content and a few other lackluster areas doesn't quite cut it, though it's not all bad news. You can have some fun here, and updates come often enough, that it might be worth a look for something new here and there.
