Mystique Magazine features the unusual tagline of “women you could spend the rest of your life with.” Not many adult sites encourage a commitment like that! Mystique’s philosophy is that sexy is in the mind of the viewer. It’s not about being as explicit as possible, it’s about enticing with beautiful women in beautiful locations. The scenes are sexier than Victoria’s Secret, but not as revealing as Playboy.
The Goods –
Everything on Mystique is exclusive. With such a specific site philosophy, it’s best to use original content. The founding photographer, Mark Daughn, has been published in Playboy and Penthouse, among others. He shoots the majority of the photos on Mystique. They seek out new models and incredible locations for an entirely unique photo and video collection that you won’t find anywhere else.
The quality of these pictures and videos is excellent. Photos come in five sizes, up to 3000x1996. They’re not just big, either. They are sharp and gorgeous and really look professional. The videos play in five formats, with the highest settings on the DivX 2000k files. The movies look great and definitely feel like big budget productions.
They’ve got some really great features for navigating the site. You can view the top rated models or the top rated collections. You can browse the models by name or age. You can filter them by hair or eye color, cup size, height, breast type, etc. There’s also a keyword search. Check out the Popular Searches to see what other members are looking for. It’s a clean set-up that is easy to get around.
Mystique has a lot of personality. They provide plenty of information about each model, including what it was like to work with her, where else you’ve seen her, and the usual vital stats. The girls also have audio files where they discuss other bits about their lives. If you want more, you can download Mystique wallpapers to your cellphone. It’s touches like these that make a site stand out.
The Bads –
They have a unique pricing structure that could cause things to get pretty expensive. You pay $30 a month (which is no small potatoes) for 50 credits. Each gallery costs 4 credits. So your first month you get access to 12 galleries for your $30. If you want to buy additional sets, it’ll cost you about $5 per gallery. Ouch! That could really add up fast.
If you want to download the videos, you’ll have to do it in a zip file. I’m not a big fan of zipped videos; it’s really an extra step that can be annoying.
Conclusion –
Mystique Magazine really impressed me, with their collection of such high quality original content. It’s always nice to visit a softcore site that is still utterly sexy in every way. The high price may hurt them with some potential fans, but others may feel it is money well spent to enjoy such a gorgeous set of photos and videos.
