My Cams advertises themselves only as a "premium video chat community." Their site is as simple as their slogan at first glance, with a list of the girls online right on the front page, and a few categories to browse through. The only real info you get on the girls is their name, a thumbnail, and a few flags letting you know what languages they speak. A free chat is available if you want to hang out with a bunch of dudes in a chat room and see no nudity, or the private show contains all the fun of course. Most of those are $1.99 a minute, which is on the lower side at least.
The goods:
- Not terribly expensive. I'd say the price tag is one of the most attractive parts of the site, as it's either on par with, or better than, other similar sites out there. With other private shows inching up towards $5.99 a minute at some places, My Cams at one-third of that is looking pretty good.
- Lots of girls online. Possibly even better than the price tag is the fact that 470 girls are online right now, and a total of 1,403 came are up in additional categories (lesbian, mature, shemales, etc.).
The bads:
- Quality of video wasn't the best on average. It looks like you're stuck at whatever their home/office internet speed lets them upload at, which is average at best unfortunately. Other times it's well below average, which just isn't the most fun.
- Lots of girls suddenly offline at times. It was pretty weird, and maybe it's just because there are so many people on, but it happened about 1/4 times that I'd click into a girl's chat, and she'd suddenly be offline. It was a bit annoying if she was real hot.
- A few navigation issues. I'd love to be able to find specific types of girls a little easier. Also helpful would be offering a way to view more models per page, instead of the few they have up now.
Conclusion:
Overall, there are definitely some goods and some bads here. The site is a bit plain overall, and doesn't offer much technically that can't be found elsewhere. However, the fun comes in the form of lots of cams online, and a relatively decent price for the private shows. I'd definitely add this to my list of favorites just for that reason, but if they could step the rest up a notch or two, it'd be even better.
