I'm not quite sure why I haven't got the call to be on this site yet, as I seem to be right up the alley of what Muscle Hunks looks for in their models. We've got pretty buff dudes, flexing all of their muscles, and getting nude for the camera. I definitely wouldn't call it a gay site as it's mostly solo material; it's more for anyone who likes solo males nude with some meat on their bones (the good kind). Membership is $30 a month, which is a little high, but probably about right for a niche site like this.
The goods:
- Lots of content up. It's really quite a large site, especially considering their offering niche content like this here. With over 24,000 pictures and over 550 video clips, and 14 pages of models, it's not small by any means (and neither are the guys).
- Exclusive niche material. Of course the content is exclusive here, and I'd definitely call it niche material. They find true muscle dudes here, not just guys that are fairly in shape.
- Updates usually come weekly. Of course I say this as they just had one of the few hiccups in updates I've seen, but overall something new goes up weekly here. They have to be consistent to get decent numbers online.
The bads:
- Navigation is a bit of a pain. There was just no great way to browse the site for me. They offer a lot of options, but none of them worked great. The model's index only shows 10 guys at a time on it. The updates page was in a small frame that required tons of scrolling. As far as I know, those are the only two options.
- Quality is just average. The actual photography looks decent, but the pictures are a little smaller than I was expecting. The video quality was just a touch below today's average I'd say too.
- Design could be better. It's a very plain site, with mostly a black background and white text to lead the way. It has an older feel to it for some reason. I'd love to see both the design and navigation updated a bit.
Conclusion:
Muscle Hunks has some decent niche content here for sure. It's unique, it's exclusive, and they update pretty regularly. The website itself seems to be stuck in the past from a few years ago, and is really holding them back a bit. If they re-did the site, and bumped the content quality up a little, they'd definitely stand out from the crowd as the basics look good.
