MPL Studios is a simple softcore site content of smoking hot European babes. They operate in Prague, Budapest, and on location in Europe and shoot their own collection of photos and movies. Apparently these guys have a pipeline into a source of hot models because the chicks they've used for their shoots are real beauties. I'd put them up against the collection on any other porn site. The attractiveness of the women is definitely MPL's biggest strength. They just need to increase the number of their personal shoots so the site isn't so heavily weighted to purchased model galleries.
Currently the site includes 12 "Studio Girls" and 29 "Guest Models". The difference here is the Studio Girls are their exclusive content while Guest Models are purchased content. So you see about 33% of what is offered is original. Girls in both sections have just pics, some videos, and some have both. The consistent thread in all the content is that it is softcore and the videos have lots of chatting or "interviewing" as MPL calls it. In other words there is more than just snapshots, but they interact with the cameraman and actually talk a bit. Some of the models do get down and dirty with dildos and masturbation which, in my mind, are the best vids in the collection of 26. A handful are so softcore that they just conduct a fully clothed interview.
Picture quality is high and many galleries have pictures up to around 700x1024. It's the type of stuff you'd expect softcore model photography site. Zip files make it easy to download any gallery you'd like. All the videos are in Divx format, so it's necessary to have that Windows Media codec. Just like the pics, the quality of these is also very high.
Updates come every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday which is a nice steady pace. Really, to enjoy MPL you've got to be in the mood for very softcore (I think I did run across one hardcore boy/girl photo set). If that's what you're looking for then it's likely that this collection of true babes. Their collection consists of over 11,000 pics (as of 3/11/04), the 26 videos, and some additional artistic photos. Obviously they're relying on the content's quality rather than sheer quantity. Someone can get through what they have in a handful of visits. Price is $24.95/mo recurring at $19.95.

MPL has made a couple changes worth noting. The member's area has a different design from what I remember which makes it easy enough to browse the content by updates, but it's tricky to get to the Studio Girls model index. The member's home page has a clear link to the videos section, although I couldn't locate one for the basic Studio Girl index. I found that to be a bit weird. Once I got to the Studio Girls pages I found it simple to get to any of a girls gallery or video.
The have also expanded their material, I count 42 studio girl profiles. Picture quality is on the rise, additions from the past few months have amazing quality pics up to 1600x1067 with some even higher than that. The quality of their models is still top notch; they're smoking hot European ladies from Moscow-St.Petersburg, Budapest, and Prague. Overall it's a much more impressive site then it was at the time of my initial review. The two downsides I'd have to point to are that it's still a picture heavy site with 23k+ pics and just 60 videos, and that they've bumped up the price to $29.95 (recurring at $24.95/mo). These scores have changed: Quantity +0.5, Updates +1, Exclusive +2.5, Features +0.5, Price -1, and Curve +0.5.

MPL Studios continues to grow and is well established as an upper echelon softcore photography site. The picture resolution for newer stuff is 2000x1333 which is simply outstanding. I've seen higher from some of their competitors but really this is ultra hi-res stuff and there's not a whole lot of need to go any higher. The gorgeous European models and top notch photographs remain the centerpiece of the site. The videos do add some variation to the action with sections involving lifestyle (aka interviewing & behind-the-scenes) and a simple pleasures masturbation series. All in all MPL has a lot for photography fans with the only shortcoming being the smallish number of videos. These scores have changed: Quantity +1, Quality +0.5, Value +0.5, and Curve -0.5.
Score increased from 86.1 to 87.8.
