Movie Room is a DVD archive site offering unlimited downloads of over 728 DVDs. Like other DVD sites, the tour and member’s area are basically the same, allowing users to get a feel for the content and navigation even before spending a dime. It’s definitely worthwhile to check it out, after reading our reviews, of course.
The Goods –
There’s a lot to see here. There are currently 728 DVDs online for a total of 3,389 scenes. They’ve got dozens of categories filled with hardcore action, like big dicks, orgies, assplay, and even niches like Euro and Gothic. This is a good-sized, well-rounded collection.
Updates come daily. A new DVD is added every single day, and that’s the entire DVD, not just a scene. 90 minutes of content added daily is sure to keep members busy.
The movies look nice and sharp. Each scene is offered in three quality settings, with the highest playing at 2000k. The action is really crisp and the picture on par with what other quality video sites are offering.
Movie Room has some very useful browse features. In addition to being able to browse both the scenes and DVDs by category, name, date, and rating, there’s a Pornstar Explorer to help make your way through the actresses. You can search them by ethnicity, hair color, boob size, body type, and ass. Or browse them by name or rating. I haven’t seen too many other sites offering such robust pornstar navigation.
The Bads –
As large as Movie Room is, it isn’t quite as big as other similar sites. Our top-rated video sites all offer at least 1,500 DVDs and some even twice that. Movie Room is half the size. The good news is they’ve got a solid base and daily updates, but even still it needs time to grow.
None of the content here is exclusive. That should be expected on a site like this but it is still worth mentioning. You won’t find anything original here.
At $30 a month, the price is on the high side for sites in this genre. Many of Movie Room’s competitors are charging $20 a month and some even less than that. Though you do get a lot for your money here, there are other sites offering more for less.
Conclusion –
On its own, Movie Room is a strong site. They’ve got a large collection, daily updates, quality movies, and a well-designed site. It’s only when you compare it to other similar sites that the weaknesses of size and price are apparent. Thankfully, the size will only get better with time. I look forward to seeing where Movie Room goes from here.
