"Exclusive artistic photogrphy from a pro with 25 yrs experience in shooting erotica." |

Morey Studio is home to the photography of Craig Morey. No, I haven't heard of him until now but apparently he's a pro with 25 years of photography experience including work for Penthouse and other adult mags. This site is a collection of his own erotic and artistic photography. I've always felt the internet is ideal for pro photographers to showcase their work. It gives them a more efficient way to get their stuff to the public instead of publishing a collection or working for other companies.
The Goods:
- Exclusive Professional Photography. The site is made up of Morey's work so clearly that's the site's #1 selling point. Along with the galleries you can also find a blog and other details about the photographer. Blog entries are a couple paragraphs and they seem to come about once or twice a week on average.
- Sexy Models & Artistic Style Pics. Not surprisingly Morey uses sexy ladies in his shoots. The artistic style comes through in their poses, shoot locations, and other stuff like B&W shoots and some fetishes.
- Low Monthly Price. Low prices are always good to see and with Morey's the $14.94/mo seems in line with the size of the collection.
The Bads:
- Average Design/Navigation. The layout here is fairly basic and I'd like to see a more polished layout from someone with the professional experience like Morey's.
- Smallish Amt of Content. As of the time of this review (Feb '07) there are over a couple hundred galleries which is only okay. The update is steady but not overly fast so it's unlikely this will blossom into a huge photo archive anytime soon.
- Just Photos, No Videos. I know this dude is a photographer but it's so rare to run into sites that have absolutely no videos. Surfers (and reviewers) take not of this when deciding which sites to join. I be Morey could make some hot video clips with the girls he pulls in for shoots - so why not do it?
Conclusion:
Overall Morey Studio is a simple collection of photography by a pro that has some style to his shoots. A couple items I didn't discuss were zip downloads and upsell links. The zips are nice to see and kind of expected for a site like this. By upsell links I mean there are quite a number of "recommended sites" for similar style photography stuff. I found them to be a little too numerous.
