PROS:

"Original content of adult stars although I'd like Mod Fx to make the jump to ultra hi-res."
Mod Fx's model directory is full of familiar faces of adult models and porn stars. The site's has a straightforward collection of softcore pictures and videos along with the additional features of webcam chat shows. The one thing that won't be found here are average looking chicks. All of Mod's girls are smoking are hot, hot, hot.

The Goods:

- Exclusive Content. Getting content of pro models isn't very difficult so many sites in this photography genre just go out and buy prepackaged stuff to put on their sites. Mod Fx has their own photographer and offers up their own original collection for members. That's definitely an important thing to factor in when shopping around photography sites featuring pro models. Specifically I enjoy the videos that feature interviews and chatting with the girls. That adds some variety that goes beyond just posing and stripping.

- Clean Design. The guest portion of the site is exactly the same as the member's area except, of course, guests can't view galleries or download videos. I love it when sites do that since it makes it very clear what you'll get as a member. The overall layout of the site is professional and clean. The model directory makes it simple to browse the girls photos and vides.

The Bads:

-Very Softcore Content. These aren't a bunch of amateur; they're pro ladies who do a lot spicier stuff than this. Mod Fx stays in the realm of teasing and nudity and doesn't even go into things like masturbation or girl/girl. My impression is some of the shoots should go further than they do in order to make things more fun.

-Average Content Quality. I hold softcore photography sites like this to a high standard when it comes to picture and video quality. To me hi-res stuff it what it takes for site like this to be top notch. Mod Fx's stuff falls just short of hi-res and they leave off things like varied picture resolutions and zip downloads.

As I browsed around I noticed a high number of Asian girls featured on the site. Personally I like that but it just seemed odd that it's which chicks, Asians, and not really any other ethnicities. I just thought I'd point that out. As far as the webcam stuff goes it's tough to get a read on how often they actually do shows since the calendar only has a few recent postings. My suggestion to check out that page before joining since as a guest it's possible to see that calendar too.

1st Follow-Up Review Review: 11-03-06

Taking a look around Mod FX tells me they've continued updating regularly and now have a couple hundred videos. The content quality remains nice although not as high res as I'd like to see. This applies more to the videos than the pics. Also keep in mind that most of the videos are around 2-3 minutes in length which isn't all that long. The strengths of their collection remains the very sexy models, sharp site design, and interviews (videos & written).
