How we haven't done an Official Review on Mike's Apartment yet is beyond me. This is one of the oldest reality sites out there, and brought to you by the people behind All Sites Access which is one of the better-rated networks we have. The storyline here is that Mike will rent out a room in his apartment in exchange for sex with the girls staying there. I guess the only really guaranteed thing here is exclusive content of hardcore reality sex, and that $25 a month price tag (but watch out for the recurring price on their trial should you choose that route).
The goods:
- Lots of exclusive scenes up. Their collection tops the 200 mark pretty easily, and of course they shoot all this stuff themselves. With the regular updates and just the amount of time they've been online, they have a nice advantage with their size here.
- Updates still coming weekly. Sometimes the old-school sites like this will stop updating for no real reason at all, but that's not the case here at Mike's Apartment. Things are still being added every week, which has helped get them quite a large collection going.
- Newest quality option is nice to have. The original options for videos left a bit to be desired with quality honestly. They just recently started adding a very high-quality WMV file which looks much better than the rest of them.
The bads:
- Only newest videos have the best quality. This new, high-quality option is only available on a few scenes for now it seems. They say they hope to add it to the older scenes as well, but sometimes promises get broken so we'll see.
- More solo scenes than expected. I though it would be a 100% hardcore site, but there are quite a few solo scenes mixed in there. It's not an entirely bad thing unless you were expecting otherwise.
- Site itself is a bit plain. There are no real fancy graphics here or anything, and browsing for content is done one scene at a time in a long list. I'd say with a larger collection like this, they could use a few more features to make finding content go a bit quicker (and all their sites could use a re-design I'd say).
Conclusion:
While it's a pretty basic reality site, they do score some points for the new video quality and the large collection. Beyond that, it's good but not great I'd say. The action is just what you'd expect, and they're updating regularly so that helps as well. It's a great addition to the network with the large numbers, but in the end I wouldn't mind a little more excitement for it to stand on its own.
