I am just so excited to have another chance to get inside Met-Arts' member's area as I was completely in love with this site the first time we reviewed it back in 2003. Met-Art has been online since for quite a number of years now and boasts a massive member's area with more than 385,000+ images and 381+ videos. While the collection has grown quite a bit thanks to multiple daily updates, the member's area doesn't look to have changed much. Hey, if it works, why fix it? The content, while nude, is more alluring than exciting and consists solely of young female teens in a very natural light. The lover of this site is going to be the lover of photography and more so, the lover of young, attractive, natural women’s' bodies.
The Good:
- Being one of the oldest nude photography sites on the Net, Met-Art offers an enormous archive of gorgeous girls in super high quality images and videos. This is some really nice looking photography, too. Interesting angles and a variety of environments leads to just the type of softcore nude content that won't leave you bored to tears. Each shot is different from the next and each photo shoot and/or video offers just enough of its own flavor to feed your desires. It almost looks to me like you are given the raw footage of each set, without the somewhat out-of-focus shots removed and no airbrushing. This, of course, lends to a few less than stellar shots, but also gives a great feel of what it is actually like to be there during the shoot. You'll find lots of water play, outdoor scenes, some girl-girl erotica, great close-ups, and even a few pussy spreads. Videos offer the same types of content, but with a little more emotion involved.
- The overall quality is amazing! Newest images can be viewed as large as 3000x2000 pixels (lo-rez are 1024x681 pixels), and even the older content is offered in high-rez. Videos are also offered in amazing quality, with WMV files that stream anywhere from 1500k to 2800k and super nice looking DivX files are just 1 of your other 6+ options.
- Lot's of great options for download, both when it comes to the pictures and the videos. Image sets are offered in 2 sizes along with zip options for each, and the videos have multiple quality formats including options for PSP and iPod.
- Advanced design features allow members to set their browser preferences (resolution, navigation style, slideshow time). Archives are browsed by year, then by month and the videos are viewed separately. A top model's index offers the top 120 voted models, and an advances search feature allows you to search by: text, shaved, location, hair color, eye color, photographer, or model. There is also a text linked listing of all models in alphabetical order.
- Multiple updates take place daily, with about 4 new updates each day. I also enjoyed the Artists section of the site which gives you a listing of all of the content produced by each. A bio on them would be nice too, though.
- Met-Art also offers daily live cam shows! What other photography site out there can say that? Each day up to 6 girls take their turns in front of the camera for 2 hours, live and ready, waiting for you to watch.
The Bad:
- There is no model bio information offered. I can imagine how difficult it would be to keep track of so much information over such a large period of time, but it would be great if they offered some information about their models; at least start with the newest content and go from there. It's just slightly disappointing to find nothing but a listing of their content when you click on a girl’s name. They've got the linking down for "model info", but no actual information is given.
- Content descriptions would also help one browse through these massive archives. Even a loose set of categories would be nice. I did mention that I liked having a list of the different artists, but maybe some bio information on them too would be nice.
- I think a design face-life could be nice. Although the design is functional on many levels, a few more options could be added and things could be more streamlined. But overall I'm not really going to complain.
The Conclusion:
I liked Met-Art before and I like it still now, even more so possibly. IT is a softcore, nude photography site with lots of taste and lots of class. The girls are simply gorgeous and so is the content! The amount of updates each day is enough to get anyone to stick around and the $29.99 price tag is becoming more the norm for such high quality sites, especially one this large. If you're a big fan of nude photography I'd be surprised if you haven't checked out this site already, and I'd be even more surprised if you didn't join.
