Intro

Mature Gay DVDs has a title that really tells you everything about this site's concept. Nothing is hidden there as this is indeed a collection of DVDs featuring mature gay hardcore action. The guest tour is actually set up nicely in that visitors can browse the collection with details like movie length, date added, model info, and preview trailers. It's a fairly open-book style tour that's pretty informative. On the FAQ page they have the info about the movies which does note that they have streaming-only videos. Instead of being a download site what they offer is an online member's area of streaming movies and then they sell DVDs too.

The Pros

Exclusive Mature Gay Vids, Mature/Younger, Mature/Mature, & Solo.

Mature is the overarching theme here however it's important to note that the majority of videos feature a mature guy with a younger guy. There are mature/mature as well and some solo scenes but the bulk of the action is mature/younger. Considering the size of the site there is a nice amount of models here of both the mature variety and younger guys too. Entertainment value and originality are areas where the site does well.

Flash Streams Buffered Instantly, Can Jump to Any Part of Scene.

Flash is the single video viewing option available so the functionality of that is important. The streams loaded/buffered nearly instantly and it's possible to jump to any part of the scene right away. The pause/play function worked well too so things are solid in terms of the Flash player usability.

Other Good Stuff:

The Cons

As I motioned in my opening Mature Gay DVD's has gone with an in-browser streaming format for their site member's area and then they also sell DVDs. This isn't one of those movie/DVD sites where members can join to download a bunch of movies. Surfers will definitely want to be aware of this.

Not a Very Large Collection of Content for a 'DVD' Site.

Based on the updates details posted on the guest tour the movies here date back to 2007. The total number of video scenes in the online member's area is just around one hundred. Generally a larger collection would be expected especially considering how long they've been around. The webmaster has verified they add one new movie every two weeks.

Minor Negatives:

No update log or information is provided in the member's area.
If you leave the member's area section to view more DVD details and try to navigate back then you're prompted to re-enter your login again.
DVD upsells area part of both the guest tour and the member's area.

Bottom Line

A mature gay movie collection with streaming-only videos & lots of mature/younger scenes.

Without a doubt the fact that the movies are Flash streaming only is the main item of note here. The content collection itself is pretty solid especially for those looking for mature guy with younger guy hardcore. I do give them credit for having fast buffering Flash files but I'm sure a lot of surfers would like some sort of downloading included with membership. Updates seem to come in batches with lengthy periods between additions which is what accounts for the fact that they don't yet have a large database of movies available.
