Intro

Male Spectrum Pass is a network of eight gay reality websites. The sites specialize in young hotties. Whether you like broke twinks, drunk college boys, gay newbies, or first time facials, you're sure to enjoy this collection. The professional look of the tour caught my attention right off the bat, as did the promises of high definition videos.

The Pros

Original content.

All of the sites feature original content. All of the gay action here is produced by the folks at TopBucks for Male Spectrum Pass. This entertaining collection covers several sexy angles of young men who, for whatever reason, find themselves in the arms of another man.

Good-sized collection.

There's a lot to enjoy in this network. The collection includes over 875 episodes for more than 356 hours of porn. With plenty of bonus content, as well, there's a lot to see here.

Nice quality videos.

The videos look good. All scenes added within the last two years are offered as "high definition" downloadable wmvs, in addition to high quality Flash streams. The wmvs play at 3000k-5000k and are 1068x600 in size. These sharp scenes were especially impressive considering the reality nature of the sites

Other Good Stuff:

Updates look like they'll be coming often. Five new videos were added this week.
New videos have good viewing options. Members have a choice of Flash and WMV streaming for clips and full scenes (with five quality options), along with downloadable WMVs, also in five quality options for clips and full scenes.
The network homepage lists when each site was last updated. It also allows you to save your favorite episodes across all of the sites.

The Cons

Older videos lack options.

Older videos are streaming only. They added downloadable videos in April of 2007. All videos added before that are streaming only. They older scenes also lack any high resolution movies. They can get pretty grainy at times.

Content is leased out.

Content is original but not exclusive. Although they film all of these scenes themselves, the sites are also leased out as third-party feeds to other sites so you may have actually seen some of this content before.

Minor Negatives:

Videos are not truly high definition. At 1068x680, they are just shy of the 1280x720 needed for a high definition description. These videos do look good, and they're labeled HD, just keep in mind that they're not quite.
Small pictures. The photos are definitely not the focus of the site, but since they offer them I'll comment. At 800x533, these images were smaller than what we usually see on amateur sites. I'd definitely like bigger images.
Some update lags. Five sites were updated this week but two haven't been updated in two wee3ks. One of them, Hot Muscle Dudes, hasn't been updated since June.
Needs more browse tools. The only tool is a keyword search that lets you type in the model's name. They can definitely do more than that.

Bottom Line

An entertaining network with some good-looking hardcore scenes.

Male Spectrum Pass offers up an entertaining collection of high quality original movies. There's a lot to enjoy here and they really cover the spectrum, so to speak, of young gay men. The video quality is good overall and updates come often enough to make it work the membership price of $30 a month. You will want to check on the sites yourself to see if you recognize them from other sites you've joined, but if you do find this original content is new to you, it's well worth a look for fans of hot male sex.
