Mad At It is a general video site with the one special characteristic that they are a UK based company and have British performers. The guest tour is pretty straightforward and will give you a good sampling of the movies included in the member’s area. Videos are the overwhelming focus of things although there are a handful of picture galleries available.
The Goods:
- Original Hardcore Vids, British Models. The content here is from the UK company Mad @ It Productions and there’s a bit of info saying they’ve had some nominations and awards from the UK Adult Film Awards. A write up says these are videos from DVDs and never before released shoots. The British focus is the one characteristic that stands out most.
- Mix of Solo, Boy/Girl, Girl/Girl, & Groups. The collection includes a nice mix of action from solo girl masturbation to hardcore one-on-one and groupsex. I also notice some variety in terms of ethnicities with white chicks being most prominent (as is to be expected from a UK site) but there are Asian, Black, and Indian girls which helps mix things up.
The Bads:
- Basic Design, No Categorization. To be honest the site design doesn’t live up to what I expect from a movie production company. The videos are simply posted on one long list which requires a lot of scrolling. The design is rough-around-the-edges and there aren’t any navigation categories. They also could do a better job of presenting information about their studio to better frame the content and site concept.
- No Update or Video File Details. Movies are listed one after the model names and written descriptions ranging from one sentence to a full paragraph. Beyond that no details are shown. Things that would have been helpful are movie DVD info (title, year, performers, director), video file sized, length, and update info. Update details are totally absent here and our TBP content count mangers have noted a lack of additions.
- Many Videos are in Multiple Parts. The video are in one quality level of WMV format which can be downloaded or streamed in a stand-alone media player. The quality is okay in that it’s neither a clear asset nor a real negative. Depending on the length some movies are available in one part but many are in multiple segments without a full-movie file option.
Conclusion:
A production company with hardcore British content makes for a nice starting place for building a paysite. These guys clearly have a mix of movies to choose from as the site features many types of porn which is its best asset. Where the site comes up short is in some basic areas like presentation, updates, and content specifics. There is also room for additional video format options and higher-res quality. As a studio based site there is definitely several ways they could go to make this a better pay site than it is currently.
