Legiocomix is up for review today, and it's a toon/comic site of course. I recently looked at another similar site of theirs, and am pretty familiar with the site here. They specialize in adult superhero art, big tit toons, and hot babe comics. I assume this site, vs. their other one, just serves up a different type of content. You don't get access to the other sites they run, so your $15 membership is just good for one site at a time.
The Pros
Unique, exclusive comics.
As expected, it looks like they offer a collection of their own content here, and don't pull some non-exclusive material in from other sources. I'd assume that if you like some of their stuff, you should like the rest, since they keep it pretty similar.
Comics look good.
With comic sites, I'll often find content that's pretty small (under 800x600) and just doesn't look as good as it could. Thankfully, that's not the case here, as the images look decent and are larger than normal.
Other Good Stuff:
The extras section is nice to include, though it doesn't really fall into the toon category of course.
The Cons
Not much to see here.
This is a really small site unfortunately. They have six ongoing comics currently, and then another section of about 300 individual images, but there's just not much to see unfortunately.
Navigation could be a little better.
It's not bad here, and they don't need much, but I feel that things could still be better. For instance, when browsing through a comic, there's no ultra-simple way to get to the next image. They have some numbers to click on, but perhaps making the image clickable, or a large next button would help. As time goes on, I'd love to see even more categories added to help filter things down.
Updates don't seem to come too often.
It's a little hard to tell what their update schedule is exactly, as most of it is posted in their forum, which is hard to decipher at times. However, I'd say something new is added closer to once a month or so. Thankfully, at least when they do update, they add 10-20 new pages in there.
Minor Negatives:
They don't offer any videos here. I guess it's not expected on a toon site, but it would have been nice to see them.
Bottom Line
Some growth and more info would really help here.
Legiocomix is just such a small site for now that it's tough to really even review much. Their comics are good, the drawings look nice, but that's about where it ends. Updates are tough to figure out, and I think they could date things better in the actual members area. There aren't many frills or options, and not much info around either. I'd mostly love to see a lot more content, and possibly update a little more often than they currently do. It's nice enough, but it's just so small that it's a tough sell for the time being.
