Intro

Lavender Lounge is the website home of Lavender Lounge Studios, a gay hardcore production company by producer Mark Kliem. The models typically have a rougher look to them, most are athletic and quite a few are hairy. What makes Lavender Lounge different, is the models do the casting. They choose who they want to fuck. It's a hot collection that explores a few gay fetishes and includes access to four bonus sites for $30 a month.

The Pros

Exclusive collection.

Lavender Lounge offers up an original collection of amateur gay men, some of whom you won't find anywhere else. The action includes a mix of everything, plenty of blowjobs, cumshots, anal, some bondage, and even fisting. The men choose their own partners, and that results in some fantastic chemistry. Kliem seems to really enjoy producing these scenes and that's clear in the highly entertaining content on the site.

Good quality content.

Overall I was pleased with the quality of the scenes. The photos are usually professionally, and the videos range from "good" to "great" quality, with newer scenes actually including a high definition Flash stream. It's a good-looking collection that offers semi-pro scenes while still maintaining an amateur feel to the action.

Other Good Stuff:

There are plenty of options for viewing the videos. They can be streamed in four quality settings and downloaded as mp4s, movs, and wmvs.
Members of Lavender Lounge get access to four bonus sites, for more original gay hardcore.
The site design is clean and the graphics and colors look good.

The Cons

Older videos have lower specs.

Only about half of the collection has videos that are labeled as "HD". These scenes include a high definition Flash stream that the rest of the scenes don't. You'll also notice higher rates and sharper quality on the newer mpegs and wmvs, as well.

Small collection.

Lavender Lounge is a small site, with just 39 models in 36 galleries. The site has been online for several years, so I expected a larger collection, but it turns out it's under new management so perhaps that's why. At any rate, it won't take long to see everything here.

More browse tools are needed.

Although getting around the site wasn't difficult, there's definitely room for more browse tools. Categories, other sort options, and some kind of search tool would come in handy as the collection grows.

Bottom Line

A small but highly entertaining collection of high quality original gay scenes.

Lavender Lounge has some real potential for fans of gay amateur video. I was impressed with the entertaining scenes and the move to high definition. The main issue in my book is the small collection. The site definitely needs some growth. The cost of $30 a month is a bit high for such a small site, but the network access helps. All in all, it's one to watch and a site I'll be coming back to in the future.
