Intro

Lavender Lounge is a unique name for a site offering gay nude men in solo & hardcore content. It's a site that emphasizes variety with men in all shapes and sizes, from twinks to jocks, bears, Euro and Latin lovers, and more. Apparently it's one gay site that's been around for some time, and your VIP membership gives access to more than 110 image galleries and 25 videos for $10 bucks initially, and a recurring monthly price tag of about $25 bucks. Two bonus sites are included with your membership here as well.

The Pros

Some Original Contnet.

The image content and some of the video content here appears to be original. Exclusive photography is from gay-oriented festivals in San Francisco, bar & nightclub events, and other sexual gatherings. They are indeed candid, naughty and enjoyable to watch. They variety is pretty great too, from twinks to bears and everything in between. The site is set-up like a blog offering lots more to see than just in-browser videos and image sets.

Other Good Stuff:

Tons of bonus content is offered with your membership here, including 2 additional sites: Muscle Bear Club and Vintage Bareback. In addition to these sites there are tons of feeds, bonus pics & videos, guest posts, etc.
New blog posts are added often. Almost daily in fact, and sometimes multiple times per day.

The Cons

Site Design is Confusing.

It takes a lot to understand what's going on here with the site design. In fact, I'm still not sure I understand it. I appreciate the blog set-up and all of the personality that it offers, but I had a hard time finding the actual image & video content that is original to the site. Instead I kept finding my way to bonus content, site feeds and upsells - really annoying.

No Downloads.

All of the videos are Flash streams, in-browser only and without any option or alternative to download & keep. There are no ZIP files for the image sets.

Quality Needs Work.

The images here are small, too small for a paysite these days. And the videos view in a small-sized Flash player without additional quality options.

Minor Negatives:

Not everything here is exclusive. Even in the image sets many are from other sites and I didn't even find very many (if at all) actual video clips here that aren't mere trailer type short clips from non-exclusive video content.
The initial join fee is just $10 bucks, but recurs at a higher $24.95 per month. A 1-month, non-recurring membership will set you back almost $35 bucks.

Bottom Line

A blog site with some content but many misleading links & feeds.

I have to be honest, Lavender Lounge disappointed me on many levels. I expected exclusive party scene content with lots of personality and variety. Sure there is a good variety here, and even some okay personality because of the blog posts, but in terms of actual content (pics & vids), that's where this site fell flat. Not only is the original content hard to find, but there were many times I was convinced there was barely any of it around. Instead there are ton of confusing links to feeds, other sites, ads and upsells. For the price of membership, I expected a lot more from Lavender Lounge.
