KnownPornstars.com claims to be "the biggest treasury of the most famous and popular pornstars all over the world." Girls like Jenna Jameson, Anna Nova, Ashley Roberts, Aria Giovanni (doesn't she only do softcore?), Britney Skye, Briana Banks and more; you get the idea. The site itself offers over 50,000+ images and 43+ videos but you also get access to another handful (17+) of sites as it is somehow related to the Cash Maniacs Network. In the tour they list the last updates as being almost 2 months ago now and that same truth carries through into the member's area as well. Yes folks, Known Pornstars is in need of a major update.
The Good:
- Access to many other sites with your membership here sure doesn't hurt. Even on its own the site has quite a nice archive of content but the lack of recent updates is a little discouraging.
- There is no model index but Pornstars (and there are many of them) are offered in alphabetical order or you can search for them by name. Additionally you can browse the image and video content separately by date. Zip file downloads are also made available for the image sets.
- In most cases the picture quality is pretty good but I did find some of those older sets that look dated and unsharp (is that a word?). I did like the variety of hard & softcore content, however.
The Bad:
- The fact that this is all non-exclusive content that you can find in a zillion other places online, makes the $30/month membership fee feel a little pricey.
- Site design doesn't offer enough browsing features. Other than by date or model, there is no way to browse the content for specifics like: lesbianism, body type, blowjob, anal, 3somes, fetish content, etc. Even then the model index is simply text linked names of pornstars without access to any sort of preview image of them.
- Image size could be larger and the quality could be better/more consistent overall. The videos are only average at best (400k) in quality and a higher quality stream/download would be a nice addition to the lesser quality ones that they currently offer.
- No updates for quite some time - bummer.
The Conclusion:
In the end I wouldn't join this site at $30 bucks per month, and if I did it would only be for the Network access. Even then I think I would prefer to sign up from one of the other sites just to feel like I'm really getting the bang for my buck. There is a large archive of content here already but the lack of updates is not a good sign and the quality simply needs to be bumped up a notch overall. You will find a nice variety of hardcore & softcore content but without a good way to filter through it all, what you're left doing is simply sifting around through pages and pages of content without a real ability to determine which is going to give the money shot. Unfortunately it looks like I'll be leaving this site a little more frustrated than when I came in.
