Up for review today is KiwiPuff, and besides a funny name, they have a bunch of other sites with similar fruity names. There's no network here though, so need to concern yourself with those. The one thing I don't get is the difference between all their sites, or why you would choose one over another. They are a DVD site with a pretty generic/wide variety of content overall. The best news is the great price of just $10 a month to join the site, which gets you a couple hundred DVD's right off the bat.
The goods:
- Lots of content up. With over 250 DVD's online currently online, it's not too small of a site here. I have no idea how often they update or anything, but at least there's a good amount of porn up for now.
- Great price! $10 a month is hard to beat these days, especially for a site that offers quite a bit of content. You have to take the bads with the goods, but the price is definitely a good thing here.
The bads:
- Navigation is pretty simple. The best thing they give you is some categories to browse through, but that's about it. There's no real previews of the videos, no search, no sub-categories, and no dates even.
- Not sure when/if they update. Granted they have a decent amount of content up at this point already, but we all still love fresh material for our membership. All the dates I saw on movies were from a year ago, and they don't have an updates page to make things easier.
- Quality isn't great. The downloadable DivX isn't great, but it's much better than the streaming Real Video options they have. Overall, I would generally ask for better quality from a video-based site like this. I guess the low price does come with a few drawbacks.
Conclusion:
Kiwi Puff is good enough I'd say, especially at the price. There's a lot to see in a pretty wide variety of genres. You're getting your money's worth though, which means it's a pretty big step down from the big boys in terms of the site. Quality could be better, I don't know if they update, and the options aren't too robust. Still, like I said, at least you get a bunch of videos at a low price.
