The number of solo sites on the net has been skyrocketing over the last few years. Because of this, a number of young gals have come online with their own site with I presume to be assistance from webmasters already in the field. Today we're going to look at Kirsten's Room which has been around quite a while I think, though it doesn't really exude that homemade feel that I'm used to seeing on a solo amateur's site. She charges a whopping $30 a month to be a member of her site, which seems awfully high for just a single site access to me.
The goods:
- Not too small of a site. I can't say that it's huge either, but at least there's a bit of content to check out here for your money. With about 100 videos, and maybe 70 photosets, it's better than these newer sites that open up with 10 sets each and call themselves a member's area.
- Live cams are fun. Anytime you've got 24/7 cams running it's a nice thing. It may not bode well for those of you looking for a quick jackoff, but those voyeurs out there will enjoy peeking in on her at any time.
- Actual photosets can look decent. When they're not the dang webcam captures you see quite often here, the pictures can look okay here I'd say. It sounds like her photographer is hit or miss with his time, so I just hope they continue to push out more actual content compared to the vidcap thing.
The bads:
- Updates have been lagging all around. Photo updates started slowing down in March, and then took a three-week break, and a two-month break after that. A bunch of videos were put up in last week or two (about seven total), but before that it had been 5-6 months without anything new there too. Even her diary entries are lagging with just one update every month or two.
- Just not big enough for the high price. $30 is high for most any site, even if it's a great one. Once you start talking about update issues, quality issues, and a small overall size, it becomes just too expensive relative to what you actually get for your money.
- No full nudity it seems. It's really weird, you can see most of her naked, just at different times from each other. Check out her boobs, her pussy, her ass, whatever you like! But try to find a pic where she's fully nude and you'll see it's quite tough. I'm not sure if it's a weight issue on her part or what, but once you notice it it's kinda funny.
- Downloads came slow. This could be a temporary problem on our end (or hers!), but downloads were coming about half speed from what I'd normally expect to see and I just wanted to let you know.
Conclusion:
This one boils down to just not quite getting enough for your money I'd say. At $30 a month, I expect lots of content, lots of updates, lots of interaction, and more. Here we get barely enough (or not enough even) of most of that which just doesn't quite cut it. I'd either ask for a huge price drop, or a big reinvestment in the site to get the ball rolling again. The 24/7 cams are a nice touch, but just not enough to sustain a whole site at this price I'd say.
