Intro

Jayla Starr is a solo model who seems to be a bit of a hybrid between an amateur and a pornstar. Her style and hardcore content is pornstar like and then she has things like cam shows, a journal, and blog which are found more from amateurs. Her site is also part of the Dirty Hard Drive network which includes about half a dozen solo models with action similar to Jayla. I guess I'm just not able to completely nail down how I'd define her which is really all right and no issue at all. One thing I will say is that she has a great medium to dark skinned ethnic look about her and in fact she refers to herself as a 'Blasian porn princess'. Blasian is a black/asian mix which is perfectly descriptive of Jayla.

The Pros

Solo Model with Exclusive Hardcore & Solo Pictures/Videos.

Entertainment value is solid here as Jayla doesn't hold back in terms of the types of shoots she does. She does guys, girls, interracial, groupsex, and solo toy play. Basically Jayla just gets banged every way possible and seems to really dig it. Content is organized by shoot with most having a video and gallery but some only having the gallery with no video. Her Blasian ethnicity is also a nice selling point as she should appeal to surfers who like ethnic models and/or interracial action.

Interaction thru Cam Shows, Diary, Journal, & Biography.

While her content shoots have the look and feel of a pornstar Jayla has several dedicated sections for member interaction including weekly cam shows and both a diary and journal. The diary/journal have steady additions with archives from when the site was launched right up thru the time of this review. Other items include contact info, twitter, Facebook, and a schedule calendar. All these interaction items work in concert with the picture/video content to give Jayla a well rounded solo model site.

Other Good Stuff:

Videos are available in downloadable WMV and MP4 formats along with in-browser Flash streaming. Newer videos have HD specs of 1280x900 2400k. Photo galleries can be viewed online or saved as zip files.
Galleries/videos are date-stamped with update information showing when they were added to the site. Video file size/length info is also posted for the movies.
Access to the Dirty Hard Drive network is included with other solo hardcore models like Jayla.

The Cons

Pretty Small Collection of Content, Site is Relatively Young.

Quantity is the one area that stands out as a weakness. The gallery and video items have dates reaching back only to about the very end of 2009 and the start of 2010. By internet standards she is a relative newcomer and at this time has just a few dozen galleries and about the same number of videos. Time will tell if the collection grows into a large archive but as it stands she does lean on the included network to give members additional content.

Picture Quality & Size Varies, Older Videos Have Avg Specs.

Pictures didn't seem to have much consistency in terms of the size as ones I sampled ranged from about 1200x800 to 850x550 to 600x400. So while there are some nice looking images things are hit-and-miss depending on which gallery you're looking at. The older WMV videos do have lower specs that aren't the HD level of the newer ones. These come in around 850x480 1000k.

Minor Negatives:

Updates can be a little sporadic. The average seems to be one new shoot per week however more often they are now coming every two weeks.
Basic content organization with a chronological listing of the scenes. There is a niche tag drop-down list however that has dozens of niches which seems way too long for this site. Just a few categories like hardcore, lesbian, solo, etc. would have worked fine.

Bottom Line

Jayla has a smaller site but she has a great ethnic look & does all sorts of hardcore.

The items that stand out here are Jayla's hardcore and interaction content, her blasian ethnicity, and the newer HD level videos. The main thing that's a negative is the lack of quantity since the site is pretty new on the scene. Updates have slowed a bit in the months leading up to this review so it'll be interesting to see how things progress when it comes to content growth. Along with the pictures/videos it'll be important for Jayla to keep up the interaction features which she's done a good job of so far.
