It's not often that we check out a solo male site, but Jason Hawke XXX is up for review today, and it's just that. Jason looks like a buff, military-type guy if that's your thing (based on his muscles and dog tags at least). It looks like he offers up solo and gay content, a blog, plus some extras inside for the $20 membership fee. The content seems more pro than amateur, but looks good nonetheless.
The goods:
- Mostly exclusive content. Being a solo site, it's at least all original content here. The only thing that caught my attention was some sets boasting an "all exclusive" tag while others don't. Most of this is exclusive and/or original material though, so you're doing pretty good either way.
- Some good interaction here. He has a pretty active blog which gives you some insights into the site, as well as some workout info. He also does webcam shows once a week or so which is cool. There are no archives, so hopefully you can make the Thursday, 4pm Pacific time each week.
- Updates do come. They'll come in spurts and are unpredictable, but they do get here and the site is still growing.
The bads:
- All videos play in-browser only. They're just small and not too exciting, especially when viewing them in a browser. There are no download options for some reason which is too bad.
- Some sets are pretty small. A few photosets just have eight pictures of him flexing totally clothed for instance, which helps boost the content numbers without actually providing anything too exciting.
- Quality could be better in general. Some pictures look decent, while others don't. Videos could use some work as well, so overall I'd say the quality could be a little better.
- Update schedule is a little wacky. The last couple of months, there have been consistent updates every couple of days, but just during one half of the month. The other half has nothing. There's no real rhyme or reason here, and some listings on his what's new page aren't even really updates either.
Conclusion:
Overall, Jason Hawke's site is a mixed bag for me. What I didn't really like was the content itself, which is too bad since that's the main reason people join. The scenes and features are fine, but the lack of downloads, quality, and consistency hurt the most for me. On the other hand, he provides some good interaction and insight, which is nice to see on a site like this. The content can be improved in time, and hopefully they can do just that to bring the whole site to a new level.
