People must really love their Japanese porn. We've been looking at more Asian DVD-type sites lately than anything else it seems. Today is Japan Hardcore Movies, and my beef with these sites is that they're all the same. They have a lot of movies, all are high-quality, all are $30 a month, all update relatively often, all have crappy websites, and all offer no real extras or info. I could point you to any number of other reviews we've recently done for similar sites, and they'd give you a pretty good idea of what you'd find here. The good news is that you can browse around their entire site as a guest to see what you get for your money, so it wouldn't be a bad idea if you ask me.
The goods:
- Lots of content up. They boast around 700 videos currently, which is quite a few compared to a lot of reality sites out there offering 20-30 videos total. They're adding to that number pretty frequently as well of course.
- Quality is good. Their one video options is a pretty good one at least, as the videos look pretty nice overall. Besides finding some high-definition Japanese porn, you won't find much out there that's a ton better than this stuff, though of course there's always room for improvement :)
- Updates come often. On average, a new video is up every two days, though it ranges from 1-3 days usually. That keeps the site growing pretty well, and pretty much on par with other similar sites.
The bads:
- Needs more download options. They just offer one huge WMV file, which looks good of course, but may not be practical for everybody. I guess in Japan they have kick ass internet connections and it doesn't matter, but around here a lot of people still use dialup sometimes, which wouldn't be good here.
- Navigation needs work. They basically just give you the option to browse by model name, which is a very odd way to offer up videos. They have a page of new videos, but it's pretty small. I'd prefer to have an entire list in chronological order as well at a minimum.
- A bit expensive. $30 is what all these sites charge, and of course that's the same here as well. I wish one of them would come in at a slightly lower price point and force some competition here.
- Site is plain overall. There are just no options or extras here. That goes from navigation, to video options, to scene descriptions, to the site design, and beyond. All these sites are the same in the end, and it starts to bug me after a while :)
Conclusion:
It's another decent Japanese video site, what more is there to say? They do a lot right here in terms of content, but also do a lot wrong in terms of the site itself. They blend right in to me with all the other similar sites, as they don't really offer anything that stands them out from the rest right now.

Things are looking decent at Japan Hardcore Movies. There's more content than before of course, thanks to their regular updates; they're now at over 850 videos online which is looking good. Also, navigation improved a bit with the addition of some categories to browse through which helps a lot. You can nail down specific types of videos a little better so you're not stuck browsing around so much. The video quality is pretty average here (good, but average) still, and there's really not a whole lot more to report on here. The size of the collection is the best part here, and I like the new improvements as well.
Score increased from 77.5 to 79.0.
