IVidXXX is one of the video sites for portable devices, namely iPod and PSP. They're site slogan is "Stream, Download, Travel." Just like any other industry the internet porn business has its trends and the portable porn niche seems to be on the rise in terms of the number of sites entering the category. Even some standard video sites are adding these video formats. IVidXXX is exclusively targeted for those looking for portable formats since MP4 is the main format along with Flash.
The Goods:
- Amateur Hardcore Video Collection. These guys are definitely trying to pinpoint a micro-niche. Not only are they a portable porn site but the content is all amateur videos. The action includes solo, girl/girl, boy/girl, interracial, and groups. The site is categorized into these sections along with a model list for browsing.
- MP4 Format for iPod/PSP. Portable Porn is their specialty and since Flash is the other format the site is meant for that audience only. This is the main selling point that they're offering.
- Very Low Monthly Price. The $14.95 initial cost recurring at $9.95 puts this site at the least expensive end of porn sites. Cheap prices always jump out at me and I like giving credit to sites that keep things inexpensive.
The Bads:
- Small Site for Straight & Gay Vids. One of the things touted on the tour is that they offer both straight and gay videos. Considering the smallish size of the site this actually is a bit of a negative. There just isn't enough content and no matter which you prefer the other category eats away at the number of movies available to you.
- Average Video Quality. The video quality is lacking. The Flash format is also a bit unusual choice for viewing the movies on the site. It'd be better if they went with something more standard like WMV or MPEG.
- Updates w/ 1-2 Movies Per Week. This goes along with my negative point about the size of the site. Growth is something that needs work and a faster update pace is the way to get that done. This is especially true if they're going to continue to cater to both the straight and gay audiences.
Conclusion:
One area I didn't touch on yet is the design. It's certainly not exciting or flashy but they do have some categories and model names which are okay functions. Considering the price is so low I can live with the design so long as they work on bulking up the quantity and video quality.
